CASTING! BECOME A STAR ON THIS INTERACTIVE SOAP OPERA. SEND YOUR PHOTO, CLICK FOR DETAILS! Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday June 3rd 2003 Nicole walked into the living room of the townhouse on MacDougal Alley a few minutes after Vinny left never realizing he'd been there. She closed the door and glanced around the living room. "Clark what's the matter with you?" she asked noticing her husband sitting motionless and white faced on the sofa. "I think I should ask you that question Nicole," he said still in shock that her father had sent Vinny up from Florida to tell him Nicole was leaving him. "I just bought some things," she said thinking he was upset with her spending more money. She dropped her Fifth Avenue shopping bags by the door and walked into the living room. "Vinny was here," Clark said looking up at his young wife. "Oh," she said as a look of understanding came over her face. "You knew he was coming to talk to me?" Clark asked as his voice cracked in pain. "I didn't think he'd come this quickly," she said as she walked towards the sofa and stood looking down at her husband. "Why didn't you tell me Nicole? I thought we were happy," Clark said as a tear rolled down his cheek. "Let's go upstairs and talk Clark," she said giving Tiffany a resentful glance. "I never thought you'd leave me," Clark said walking towards the stairs as she followed him stopping to glance at her shopping bags and deciding to leave them by the door. Tiffany watched as they walked up the stairs. She could hear Clark sniffling as his feet hit the stairs. Her heart sank as she realized how much pain her boss was feeling. She thought about her own recent divorce from her husband Skeeter. The front door of the townhouse opened and her sister Starlene walked in. "Hi," Starlene said holding down her voice when she saw Tiffany put her fingers over her lips to be quiet. Starlene gently closed the front door and tiptoed over to Tiffany's desk. "What's going on?" Starlene whispered. She had phoned while Vinny was in the office and just couldn't wait for Tiffany to come home and tell her about the visit. "Vinny left and Clark was crying," Tiffany said in a whisper. "Wow. I can't believe this. He didn't know she wanted a divorce?" "I don't think so." "So is he upstairs now?" Starlene asked. "Yeah, she just walked in with those shopping bags and they went straight upstairs," Tiffany said pointing towards the designer bags beside the front door. "How did she act?" "She acted liked she knew Vinny was going to talk to Clark but didn't expect it to happen so soon." "This is blockbuster Tiffany. I wonder why she's wants to divorce Clark?" "She's never been faithful to Clark. Maybe she met another man or something." "Wow, poor Clark. Is he taking it hard?" "Really hard. He was crying as they went up the stairs. I've never seen him like this before." "Wow. I wonder if she'll really leave?" "I don't know," Tiffany said. "I hope she does. I've never liked her. I can't get over catching her on the sofa with my Stanley that time," Starlene said referring to Nicole's affair with her older boyfriend Stanley. Starlene had dropped by Stanley's office one day unexpectedly and caught Nicole on the sofa at Stanley's office in a compromising position that she wished she could erase from her mind. "This could be really bad news for Clark's business though," Tiffany said tapping her nails on her desk thoughtfully. "Why?" "He's spent all his time working for Nicole's father in Florida. He's let his business almost dry up here in New York." "You don't think that he'll go out of business over this do you?" "I don't know. I don't know if he'll be able to afford to pay me after this. There aren't any parties coming up anytime soon." "Shhh... " Starlene said. "I think I hear them talking," she said getting up and tiptoeing towards the stairs to listen. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
