Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday May 20th 2003 "Come on Jan, let's go down stairs to the bar and I'll buy you lunch or something", Skeeter said following his bride into the bedroom of his Bleecker Street apartment. "No. I stopped by to help you pack. The sooner you get this mess cleaned up the sooner you'll be living in my house," she said walking towards his bedroom door. "Come on Baby, I'll pack this stuff. I want some lunch," he said worried that she'd find out that Nicole had just left his apartment and was upstairs hiding in the hallway. "Skeeter look at this mess," Jan said passing him and standing in the doorway of his bedroom. "Don't you ever make the bed?" she said noticing the sheets hanging off the bed almost on the hardwood floor. "Yeah, I'll make the bed. Come on Jan. I thought you were going to that Park Avenue Luncheon today," he said nervously looking around the bedroom floor. Nicole had hurriedly slipped up the stairs bare foot. He realized that meant her sandals were somewhere in his apartment. "I did go but I saw that woman I told you about," she said referring to the beautiful young socialite that everyone had been talking about lately. "You mean that rich one, Gina?" he said hoping one day he'd get to meet her. "Yes, that dumb thing. Honestly Skeeter this place is horrible," she said walking to his closet and opening the door. "Jan look this is my place and I like it just the way it is," he said glancing towards the bathroom to see the mirror was still steamed up from Nicole's shower. "I'll send Ilona over here to clean up for you," she said referring to her housekeeper. "Okay, that sounds like a good idea," he said hoping that meant she would leave now. "Good, then it's settled. Let's get together enough stuff for you to live with me until Ilona comes over," she said starting to pull through the hangers in his closet. "I'll pack my own stuff," he said watching her closely. "I'll contact the rental department and give them your notice on the apartment," she said pulling out his blue suit and tossing it on the bed. "No." "No?" she asked laughing as she pulled through more hangers looking for an appropriate shirt for dinner tonight with her Father. "No. I'm not giving up this apartment." "Yes you are." "No. I'm not." "Well, why would you want to hang on to this dump?" she asked turning around to face him. "I like it. It's mine. "We have my house on the Upper East Side." "This is mine and I'm not giving it up," he said as he watched her throw down the shirt and start towards his bathroom. "Okay, okay. We'll talk about it over lunch. I'll freshen' up and we'll go somewhere nice," she said walking towards the bathroom and opening the door. "Let's just go," he said too late as she closed the bathroom door. "You just showered?" she called out picking up the damp towel from the bathroom floor. "Yeah," he lied glancing under the bed hoping to find Nicole's sandals. "Skeeter whose been here?" Jan said as the toilet flushed. "No one Baby," he lied as he glanced up to see her opening the bathroom door holding Nicole's sandals in her hands. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
