I hope you're packing up your clothes today," Jan said into her cell phone as she glanced out of the window of her limo. "What's up?" he asked opening his refrigerator door in his Bleecker Street apartment and taking out a beer. "I don't have but a minute. I'm on my way to that boring luncheon. I bought you a tuxedo today," she said glancing down at the shopping bag from Fifth Avenue. "I told you before I don't like monkey suits." "You'll need it for the gala next week." "I don't know if I'll be going." "Skeeter do you want me to come over and help you pack up your things?" she asked ignoring his complaints. "No. I can handle it," he said glancing at the clock nervously wondering if the door bell would sound before he could get off the phone. "Good then you'll be moved out today?" "I think so," he lied. "Okay. My car's getting close to the restaurant and the luncheon." "Okay have fun," he said as he heard the buzzer sound at the front door of his building. "Did I hear your doorbell?" Jan asked as the driver stood with the door open waiting for her to get out of the car. "No," he lied. "Look enjoy your lunch." "Okay, Ilona will be preparing dinner tonight," she said referring to her housekeeper. She waved when she saw one of the Park Avenue ladies walk past towards the restaurant. "Okay," Skeeter said hanging up the phone. He walked to the intercom and hit the button to open the door downstairs. He glanced in the mirror on the wall and brushed his hands through his thick dark hair. He heard a faint tap and walked to the door and opened it. "Hi there Baby," he said smiling broadly. "Hi there yourself Skeeter," Nicole said walking into the apartment and tossing her purse on a chair. "You look great," he said glancing at her as he closed the door and double locked it. "So how's the newlywed?" she asked taking a seat on his futon sofa. "Married, alright." "It's only day two. How was the wedding?" "I canceled the big wedding and saved her old man the humiliation he dreaded." "I heard it was Las Vegas. How do you know Stanley will come through with the money he promised you?" she asked leaning back on the sofa and crossing her legs. "I don't. But I came through with my promise. I got her to cancel the big wedding. Worse comes to worse he'll probably cough up some cash," he said confidently as he took a seat beside her on the sofa. "I can't believe you married Jan Morgan," she said laughing as she watched him take a seat. "I still can't believe you married Clark Masters," he said putting his arm around her. "I wish I hadn't. But it hasn't slowed me down that much." "Looks like we're in the same boat now Baby. We better just make the best of it," he said as he pulled her closer to him. "You aren't wasting anytime are you Skeeter?" "Nope. Not when I've got somebody like you." "Does she have a key to the apartment?" "No, she plans for me to give it up." "But you aren't?" "Not if I can help it." "If you do then I still have my place around the block. Clark doesn't have a key to that apartment," she said as she unbuttoned his shirt.
Jan spotted a beautiful popular woman that she detested going into the luncheon. She glanced at her watch and thought about Skeeter packing his Bleecker Street apartment. She quickly glanced towards her limo driver "You know James, I think I've changed my mind about attending this luncheon." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
