Starlene asked her sister as she walked into the living room of the apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "Nothing. I guess I'll just watch TV," Tiffany said glancing up from the magazine she was reading. "You look nice. Where's Stanley taking you tonight?" she asked noticing the short tight dress her sister was wearing. "I don't know. We're just going to dinner. I didn't ask where. I thought if I dressed up he'd take me somewhere expensive," she said as the doorbell rang. "That must be him, the doorman always just let's Stanley in without calling, " she said walking towards the front door. She opened the door and stood back hoping he'd compliment her low cut dress. "Come on in Stanley," she said in her southern accent. "Hello Starlene," he said never smiling. He kissed her quickly on the cheek as she closed the door. "What's the matter with you?" she asked noticing the serious expression on his face. "I'm depressed," he said. "Well, doesn't this cheer you up," she asked putting her hand on her hips and pushing her shoulders back. "You look great honey," he said barely glancing her way as he walked towards the living room. "Is that all you got to say about my new dress?" she asked following him into the living room "Hi Stanley," Tiffany said smiling as she watched the older man walk towards the sofa where she was seated. "Hello," he said taking a seat nearby. "What the hell is the matter with you Stanley?" Starlene asked standing beside his chair glaring down at him. "I think Jan and Skeeter are getting married." "Well, we knew they were engaged," Starlene said clearly irritated with his mood. "They left for Las Vegas about an hour ago," Stanley said watching Tiffany closely for her reaction. "What?" Tiffany said dropping the magazine on the floor. "Yeah," Stanley said turning to glance at Starlene. "Get me a stiff drink please honey," he said. "Oh God," Tiffany said as Starlene rushed towards the kitchen. "Only God can stop them I'm afraid." "How do you know this Stanley?" Tiffany said as her heart raced. "I stopped by Jan's house and she was packed. Skeeter came by to pick her up. They're gone," Stanley said hoping he wouldn't cry in front of the women. "Didn't you try to stop them?" Tiffany snapped. "You have no idea how many times and how hard I've tried to stop this." "I don't understand. Why would Skeeter marry Jan." "Money. Skeeter's after my daughter's money," Stanley said. "Oh come on Stanley. I know Skeeter…" Tiffany stopped herself when she realized he was probably right. "Here Honey," Starlene said handing Stanley his drink. "You know what this means Stanley?" she said smiling broadly. "What?" he said downing most of the drink. "We're next. You promised me when this thing with Jan was over, we'd get married." "Oh please Starlene. Now's not a good time for this," Stanley said. "You promised Stanley, either we get married or you get your publisher friend at Playbody to let me pose. Remember that was the deal?" she said putting her hand on her round hips and smiling confidently. "Please Starlene," Stanley said putting his glass on the table and touching his chest as the familiar tightness returned. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
