Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 30th 2003 "Look I'm going to go home," Stanley said reaching for his jacket on the back of the sofa. "Oh don't let me run you off," Tiffany said feeling guilty that she had interrupted the older man and her sister Starlene during a romantic evening at home. "No I have to go. I'll call you in the morning, honey," he said kissing Starlene on the cheek. "I'll be right back," Starlene said getting up to walk him to the door. "Never mind. I can see my way out. I know the two of you have a lot to talk about tonight," Stanley said. "Did you talk to Amir?" Tiffany asked wondering why they seemed so serious after Amir's phone call while she was out. "No. Starlene can tell you all about it," he said not wanting to be the bearer of bad news. He walked towards the front door to leave. "Love ya Stanley," Starlene called out just before the door closed. "What did Amir say?" Tiffany asked bracing herself. "His wife died," Starlene said picking up the decanter from the coffee table and pouring her sister a glass of wine. "Oh my God!" Tiffany said as her hand flew up to her mouth. "Yeap. That's it. The torture is finally over. He's single now Tiffany," Starlene said handing the glass to Tiffany. "That's a horrible way of putting it Starlene," Tiffany said reaching for the glass and noticing her hand was shaking. "Did he say what happened?" "No. It was a fast call. He said he would be there all night and for you to call him when you got home." "Did he ask where I was?" "No." "Good. Oh Lordy the last thing he needs now is to think I've been unfaithful to him." "Yeah, I guess so. Are you going to call him?" "Yeah let me find his number on the island," Tiffany said opening her handbag and looking for her address book. "Well, tell me did you and Brandon do it?" Starlene asked unable to wait any longer. "How long ago was it that Amir called?" Tiffany asked ignoring her question. "A couple of hours ago," Starlene said looking at the clock on the mantle. She noticed it had been several hours since Tiffany had called from Brandon's room in the Plaza Hotel. "Damn. He'll think I was out on a date or something," Tiffany said flipping quickly through the pages in the little black book. "Well, you were Tiffany." "Where did you tell him I went?" Tiffany asked opening her cell phone and dialing the number to Amir's island home abroad. "Just out. I didn't say." "Good. I hope he's okay," Tiffany said satisfied when she heard the ringing sound in the phone. "How was it with Brandon?" "What?" Tiffany asked glancing up. "Did you or not?" "Honestly Starlene!" Tiffany said. "You did. I know you. If you didn't you would have said no," Starlene said knowingly. "Amir! Starlene told me you called. I'm so sorry to hear about your wife," Tiffany said as Starlene poured more wine into their glasses. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
