Tiffany called out when she heard the front door close of the apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "Yeah, it's me," Starlene said walking into the living room to see her sister glancing through the Millennium Bride Magazine she had left on the coffee table. "How was your dinner with Stanley?" Tiffany asked picking up the remote to the TV and turning down the sound. "Good. We went to Babbo since he was running late," Starlene said referring to the Italian restaurant around the corner. "What's new with you? I see you looking through my bridal magazine." "Oh nothing. I just picked it up. I guess I'll never be married again," Tiffany said thinking about her recent divorce to Skeeter. "Oh sure you will. You're not still moaning over the divorce are you?" "No. I'm over it," she lied. "I have no choice now." "Good. Glad to hear you say that," Starlene said taking a seat in the chair across from the sofa where her sister was seated in the living room. "Why Starlene? I don't like the tone I heard in your voice. Did you hear something I should know?" "Well, Stanley told me that Jan and Skeeter came to his house for dinner last night." "Oh really?" Tiffany said shocked by the news. "Yes. Apparently Stanley and Skeeter aren't hitting it off that good." "Well, it's like oil and water." "Yeah. Well, what else did Stanley say?" "Nothing really." "When's the big wedding?" "Stanley said he won't be going to the wedding." "Oh really. Do you think maybe they aren't going to get married after all." "I don't know. I tried to pin Stanley down about the events but he wouldn't talk about it." The phone rang on the coffee table and Starlene picked it up. "Hello," she answered. "Hello, could I speak to Tiffany?" "May I ask who's calling?" "This is Brandon Douglas." "Oh, hold on Brandon," Starlene said smiling broadly as she handed the phone to her sister. "Hello," Tiffany answered, her heart beating more rapidly at the thought of him. "Tiffany how are you?" "Great, and you Brandon?" "I'm wonderful. I know this is late notice but I came into town unexpectedly. I wondered if you would have dinner with me tonight," he asked. "Well... I guess so," Tiffany said running her hands through her hair and wondering what she would wear. "Good, I'll send my car to pick you up in an hour. Is that enough time?" "Sure." "Sorry for the short notice." "Where are we dining?" "I'm staying at the Plaza. Would you mind dining here?" "Oh. That's sounds nice." "Do you have to work tomorrow?" "Yes." "Well my driver can take you to work in the morning. Got to run. My appointment is here," he said hanging up the phone. "Wow," Starlene said as Tiffany hung up the phone looking as if she had been dazed by the conversation. "Wow is right. This guy's assuming I'll spend the night at the Plaza Hotel with him. I can't believe it," Tiffany said. "Wow!" Starlene said remembering the wealthy man's good looks. "But I don't know about that Starlene. I've only been to lunch with him." "Men like that don't expect to wait," Starlene said wishing she were the one having dinner with the handsome young millionaire. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
