My father was polite, wasn't he?" Jan asked as she followed Skeeter into the living room of his Bleecker Street apartment. He closed the door and locked it as he reflected on dinner tonight and his first visit at his soon to be father-in-law's mansion. "Yeah, as polite as that old man can be," Skeeter said deep in thought. "I want you to look at these pictures," Jan said taking a seat on his futon sofa and pulling an envelope of pictures from her purse. "I need a drink first," Skeeter said walking towards the kitchen. "You want one?" "Yes, bring me a glass of wine honey," she said noticing the beer cans on his coffee table. "Honestly Skeeter, I can't wait to move you out of this dump." "I'm keeping this place," he said as he opened the refrigerator door and took out a bottle of wine and a beer. "Why? I have a mansion. I'm looking forward to never seeing this place again," she said noticing the stains on the futon. "I said I'm keeping the place." "Well, tell me why?" "I'll use it as an office when I'm out of the office," he said referring to his job as a lingerie salesman. "I told you I'll buy you your own business." "Well, until then," he said checking his caller ID and seeing that Michelle the waitress from the bar downstairs had called him. If he hadn't had to go to the boring dinner at Jan's Father's he could have spent another great evening in his bedroom with the cute waitress when she got off later tonight. "It won't take long to buy you a business Skeeter," Jan said watching him come back into the living room with the drinks. "Here," he said handing her a glass of wine and taking a seat on the futon sofa beside her. "Look at the wedding gowns and tell me which one you like the best," she said handing him a stack of pictures. "I'm not in the mood to look at pictures," he said tossing them on the coffee table and placing his can of beer on top. "Take that beer can off the pictures," she said reaching for the can of beer and handing it to him. "Look I'm tired Jan. I spent all that time at your old man's house. I'm tired," he said putting the can on the floor. He loosened his tie throwing it on the coffee table. "You really looked nice tonight Skeeter," she said surprised that he had tried to impress her Father. "Yeah, yeah," he said kicking off his shoes and picking up his beer can. "What's the matter Skeeter? Father was polite and it was a nice dinner," she said still surprised at how polite her Father had been. "I hate your old man." "Really? Did he say something that offended you?" "No. He's just offensive." "You'll get used to him." "Well, I don't like all this socializing with him before the wedding." "That was the first time you've been to his house." "I mean I don't like all of this," he said pointing to the pictures. "It's all a part of the wedding plans Skeeter. Just think how much fun the big party at the Plaza Hotel will be after the wedding." "Ever thought of Las Vegas?" "No." "Look Jan. I don't think I can go through with all of this," he said thinking about the money that her Father had offered him if he would just elope and save him from the 'humiliation of the wedding'. "Are you saying you don't want to marry me?" "No, not really. Just that I can't wait Baby. Let's just elope and have it over with. Get on with what's important," he said in his sexiest voice as he slid his hand over her thigh. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
