Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 9th 2003 "Clark that's not fair," Tiffany said as they watched his wife Nicole rush to go upstairs to his office. "She won't call Amir," Clark said referring to Tiffany's wealthy lover that his wife had threatened to telephone. "I think she will. I think she'll tell him I went to lunch with Brandon", Tiffany said feeling pangs of guilt. "Look when I spoke with Brandon on the phone, he said you did a great job giving him the brochures while we were in Florida." "Yes but I went to lunch with him." "That's great. You schmoozed him Tiffany. That's great. Brandon has a lot of money and he'll be giving big parties when his theater opens on Broadway." "I hope so but Clark I really didn't want Amir to hear about this from someone else," she said realizing that she had hoped Amir would never hear about her romantic luncheon at the Plaza Hotel. "Enough of this. You need to get back to work Tiffany. I want the billing done by closing today," Clark said glancing at his watch. "I have an appointment uptown. I'll be back in about one hour," he said grabbing his briefcase and jacket as he rushed toward the front door to leave. Tiffany watched as Clark closed the door. She heard Nicole's footsteps upstairs in Clark's office walking towards his desk. Tiffany glanced at the lights on her phone and saw that Nicole had picked up the phone upstairs. Her curiosity overcame her and she got up from her desk and tiptoed towards the stairs to try and hear. She stepped gently up two or three stairs and could hear Nicole dialing the phone since the office door upstairs was left open. "Yes, could I speak to Mr. Amir Hada please," Nicole said leaning back in the office chair. Tiffany took one more step up the stairs stopping when the floor squeaked. "Hi, yes how are you?" Nicole asked. "Yes, Clark and I are fine. I just hadn't talked to you in a while and I thought I'd call." Tiffany took a deep breath listening to every word as her heart raced. "I heard your wife was abducted shortly after she awoke from her coma. It's so sad. Did the police find her yet?" Nicole asked then paused briefly to listen. "Too bad. Well, the reason I'm calling you Amir is to find out if you have any parties coming up?" Nicole asked pausing once again to listen to his response. Tiffany took one more step up on the stairs not wanting to miss the next part of the one way conversation. "No actually I believe we'll have plenty of business soon," Nicole said. "I was asking because I think we will soon be really busy and I want to avoid any scheduling problems. It seems that Tiffany has hooked us a very wealthy client," Nicole said pausing again. "Oh well. Clark's happy about the potential for business for Manhattan Party Planning, but I don't know if you'll be too happy about this," Nicole said laughing. "Oh, what I mean is that I think Tiffany's interest in this wealthy young client might go beyond the opening of his new theater on Broadway," Nicole said. Tiffany's heart felt as if it would break as she listened to the damning words in the one way conversation. "Well, I say that because she went to lunch with him," Nicole said. Tiffany quickly put her hand over her mouth to keep from gasping out loud. "I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this kind of thing Amir. You know I guess she must have decided that you would never be free to marry her and Brandon is single. I'm a woman and believe me if I were in a relationship with a man like you nothing would stop me," Nicole said in a sexy voice. "Amir I'll be in your neighborhood this afternoon, I'd like to stop by," Nicole said pausing for an answer. "Okay, I'll see you then", Nicole said as she hung up the phone and started towards the stairs where Tiffany stood listening in shock. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
