Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday April 1st 2003 "Mr. Douglas," the waiter said smiling broadly when he saw Brandon and Tiffany walk into the Palm Room of the Plaza Hotel. "This way sir. I have your table ready," he said as they walked through the crowded restaurant. The waiter pulled out a chair and Tiffany took a seat. She glanced around the restaurant noticing the well-dressed ladies-who-lunch seated beside them staring at Brandon and whispering. "Is this okay?" Brandon asked taking a seat beside her. "Perfect. Just perfect," she said smiling as he put his napkin on his lap. "Well, Tiffany. I'm so glad you agreed to have lunch with me before I go back to LA." "I'm glad Stanley encouraged me," she said referring to her sister's lover that came by the office while Brandon was there. "I didn't know your sister Starlene was seeing Stanley," Brandon said. "They've been together for years now. He gave her an engagement ring and she's pushing him to get married." "Your sister is charming," he said thinking about how Starlene had openly flirted with him before Stanley came in. "Oh she's something else alright," Tiffany said laughing. "She wants to be an actress," Brandon said. "Yes, she wants to be a model too." "For runway she's a little too... how can I say this politely," he said frowning. "Top heavy," Tiffany said smiling. "Yes, that's a very polite way of saying it." "She wants Stanley to use his connections to get her into Playbody. Did you know his last girlfriend Laney?" Tiffany said referring to Stanley's former girlfriend that had gone on to become a star of B movies. "Oh yes. I know Laney. I've seen her at some of the LA parties," he said thinking about the voluptuous young blonde that resembled Starlene. "How is Laney? I really liked her." "She sees a producer in LA. I don't know her that well. I really want to get to know you better Tiffany," he said nodding his head as the waiter held a bottle of wine for him to examine the date. "That will be fine, go ahead," he said as the waiter poured the wine into their glasses. Tiffany watched as the waiter walked away from the table. When she turned her attention back to Brandon he had lifted his wineglass towards her. She quickly picked up her glass and extended for a toast. "To a most beautiful woman," he said gently touching her glass and smiling. "You flatter me," Tiffany said taking a sip of her wine. "I hope I impress you enough that you'll see me again when I come back to town," he said watching her closely. "Oh. I didn't know you were coming back to town," she said feeling awkward. "If you'll see me I'll be coming back to town." "You really do flatter me." "Tell me about yourself Tiffany. You aren't married or anything like that are you?" "No." "A beautiful woman like you surely has men beating down your door." "No." "Come on. You mean since you've been in New York you haven't met anyone." "Well, I was seeing someone, but I'm not sure things could ever work out with us," she said thinking of Amir and the problems they had faced. "Who was the lucky fellow? Anyone I would know?" "I was seeing Amir Hada." "Amir?" CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
