Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday March 28th 2003 "So there's no Mrs. Douglas and no girlfriends," Starlene said pleased with his answer as they sat side by side on the leather sofa. She watched the millionaire's eyes follow her legs as she crossed them in the new short skirt she was wearing. "No," he said as the front door of the townhouse opened. Starlene glanced up to see her wealthy older lover walking in and closing the door behind him. "Well honey, I'm surprised to see you here," Stanley said. "Stanley hello my man," Brandon said coming to his feet and extending his hand to the older man. "Brandon, I heard you were in town. It's so nice to see you," Stanley said shaking his hand before quickly kissing Starlene on the cheek. "You two know each other?" Starlene asked annoyed with Stanley's interruption. "Oh sure honey. I found Brandon the property for his new theatre," Stanley said patting Brandon on the back. "Yes, and it's a wonderful property too," Brandon said. "What are you doing here today Honey, did you come by to see Tiffany?" Stanley asked noticing that Starlene was extra dolled up. "Yes Stanley," she said as they heard Tiffany drop a box upstairs. "Do you think I should help her?" Brandon asked. "She's okay. You okay Tiffany?" Starlene called out. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be down in a minute," Tiffany answered. "I came by to pick up some brochures. I met Nicole at the Sardi's party a week ago. Nicole told me about Manhattan Party Planning. Perhaps I can throw some business her way," Brandon said. "I'm sure Clark would really appreciate that," Stanley said. "Clark?" Brandon asked clearly never having heard the name before. "Clark. That's Nicole's husband and the owner of this business," Stanley said. "Oh. Nicole didn't tell me she was married," Brandon said. "Well, she is," Stanley said familiar with Nicole's maneuvering since he'd had a few affairs with her himself. "She seems like a very friendly person," Brandon said remembering how forward she had been. "Oh she's friendly alright," Starlene said laughing. "Starlene!" Stanley scolded. "Well, get serious Stanley," Starlene said hitting his arm. "That's okay," Brandon said accustomed to women trying to seduce him. "Yes, I'm sure you have women coming on to you all of the time don't you Brandon?" Stanley said lighting his cigar. "Well, I wouldn't go that far." "Some of them I'm sure you like too, huh?" Stanley said blowing a smoke ring. "Yes, some of them I do like," Brandon said glancing at Starlene and smiling. "I'm glad I have my little girl here," Stanley said patting Starlene on the shoulder. "I didn't know... " Brandon said smiling at Stanley. "Yes, Starlene and I are an item aren't we honey?" Stanley said putting his arm around her. "I guess," she said pouting. "Guess! We are Starlene," Stanley said shaking her shoulders with his hands playfully. "Well, remember our conversation the other night Stanley," she said hitting him with her elbow to remind him of the ultimatum she given him the other night over setting the date for their wedding. "I gave Starlene a big diamond ring a few years ago and now she wants a wedding date," Stanley said laughing as he lifted her hand with the huge diamond ring to show Brandon. "Better not let her getaway Stanley," Brandon said smiling. "I know. I think I'm going to have to give in. I mean there are only a few good women like her left," Stanley said as everyone glanced up to see Tiffany coming down the stairs carrying brochures. "And there's one for you my good man," Stanley said winking at Brandon as the two men admired Tiffany's long legs in the short skirt as she descended the stairs. CONTINUED MONDAY.
