Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday March 21st 2003 Tiffany stood behind the swinging door in the kitchen holding the silver coffee service and listening to the conversation in the living room. Her boss's wife Nicole let her know in no uncertain terms that she is interested in the handsome man that was visiting. Nicole had gone so far as to tell Tiffany she wanted her to 'cover' for her just before Brandon walked in the door. "See here's a picture of a party we did last year," Nicole said holding the Manhattan Party Planning photo album in her lap and turning the pages. Tiffany pushed the swinging door open and walked into the living room. She saw Brandon sitting close to Nicole on the white leather sofa. He glanced up when he heard Tiffany walking towards them. "Oh thank you so much Tiffany," he said smiling. "Sure," Tiffany said placing the silver tray on the coffee table and turning to walk back to her desk on the other side of the room. "Aren't you going to have coffee with us?" Brandon asked. "She has work to do, don't you Tiffany?" "Yes, I do have some things I need to finish up here." Tiffany said in her southern accent. She turned and glanced to see Brandon was watching her. He smiled when she glanced towards him and their eyes met briefly. "Where's the accent from Tiffany?" he asked. "Georgia." "Georgia? What part of Georgia?" "Lillard, it's just a small town not too far away from Atlanta," she said smiling. "I love that accent. Have you ever done any acting?" "No." "With your looks you could," he said clearly interested in her. "Tiffany get the invoices done right away," Nicole said hoping to divert his attention from Tiffany. "Sure," she said walking back to her desk and taking a seat. "See this picture?" Nicole said handing the album to Brandon. "That looks like Michael Downing, the actor, is it?" "Yes. He is one of our clients," Nicole said. "Great. This all looks good. I will have my people call you when we're ready to give the next party," he said handing Nicole the album. "Just like that? I mean you'll give us your business?" "Well, we'll see. I have other party planners that we have been working with for a number of years. But you know since I met you at the Sardi's Broadway party, I thought we could use your company for Broadway events." "That's wonderful. Would you like to have lunch?" Nicole asked. "I don't know if I have time or not," he said glancing down at his watch. "Well I guess I have time. I don't have another meeting for a couple of hours." "Great," Nicole said. "Do you have a favorite place?" he asked as they stood and walked towards the front door to get their coats. "It depends on how well we are going to get to know each other," Nicole said in a hushed voice purposely pushing her bosom into his arm as he helped her with her jacket. "Oh, I don't have that much time," he laughed, unsure of her intentions. "I hope you'll be making a lot more time for me in the very near future," Nicole said. "Well, that would be nice," he said putting on his jacket and turning to glance towards Tiffany. "Come on Tiffany, I want you to go with us to lunch," he said. CONTINUED MONDAY.
