If I get something going with this guy, you'll cover for me," Nicole said in a hushed voice as the front door of the townhouse opened and the handsome stranger walked in. "Brandon hello. Come in," Nicole said jumping up from her chair in front of Tiffany's desk and walking towards the tall handsome man. "Did you have any problems finding the townhouse?" Nicole asked as she took his expensive jacket and hung it on the coat rack. "No. My driver knows the neighborhood. How are you? I believe it was Nicole right?" he asked as she motioned for him to take a seat in a nearby chair. She took a seat on the white leather sofa across from him. "Yes, Nicole or you can call me Nicki if you like. I'm great. I'm so glad you could come over. Are you in a hurry?" Nicole asked crossing her legs and allowing her mini skirt to come up high on her thighs. "Not too much. I am not leaving for LA for a while," he said glancing at her thighs. Tiffany took a sip of her coffee and placed the cup back on her desk hitting the paperweight and making a noise. "Oh, I didn't see you there," Brandon said glancing towards Tiffany's desk. "Yes, this is Tiffany. She's my secretary," Nicole said. "Hello," Tiffany said nodding her head. "Brandon do you know when the new theater will open?" Nicole asked in an effort to quickly regain his attention. "It looks like mid summer now. We had hoped for spring, but the theater is still in renovations." "I'm sure you'll want to give a huge party for the opening," Nicole said. "Oh sure, but we have time to work on that. I may have some other parties that your company could work on before the opening of the theatre," he said. "Oh great." "Tell me a little about your company. Do you always attend the Broadway parties at Sardi's?" "No. That was actually the first one I've attended. My partner was invited but he had to go to Connecticut to a party his parents were giving," she said referring to her husband Clark. "How many people work for your company?" "Oh, it's just a small company. There are only three of us including Tiffany." "What is your partner's background?" "Oh he does the sales and organization of the parties. I do the public affairs," Nicole said leaning back on the plush leather sofa and crossing her legs slowly. Her short skirt didn't provide any cover for her bare legs. "It sounds like you have the most interesting job of all," he said his eyes drifting to her legs. "Meeting people like you is certainly interesting. I hope we'll get to know each other before you leave for LA," she said smiling knowingly when he lifted his eyes to gaze into her face. "Yes. That would be nice." "Tiffany, get Brandon and me some coffee," Nicole snapped. "Sure," Tiffany said getting up from her chair and walking towards the kitchen. She pushed open the swinging door of the kitchen and walked lightly hoping to hear the conversation in the living room. "Will your partner be back in time for the meeting today?" Brandon asked. "I sure hope not," Nicole said laughing. "Why is that?" "It's a lot more fun without him." "The two of you don't get along?" Brandon asked. "Let's just say he does his thing and I do mine. We don't need to talk about him. We need to get to know each other. Don't you think that would be fun?" "Sure," he said. "Why don't you come sit beside me and I'll show you some pictures of the parties our company's done," Nicole said picking up the photo album from the coffee table. Tiffany poured the coffee into the china cups and put them on the tray. She picked up the tray and walked towards the swinging doors to go back out into the living room. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
