Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday March 19th 2003 Nicole stood staring over Tiffany's shoulder at the headlines in the newspaper. "Amir-Gate Broadens", the headlines read with a picture of Tiffany's handsome lover Amir on his yacht in happier times. Tiffany quickly turned the page on the newspaper to read the article. "The attorneys for Mr. Amir Hada have released a statement saying that their client Amir received a note from an extremist group saying they will kill his wife Malena. The unnamed group said if Mr. Hada wants his wife back he must be willing to pay them a large undisclosed sum of money. Mr. Hada hopes very much that the extremist group hasn't harmed his wife. Mr. Hada's lawyers have said that by releasing this statement they hope that the group will know that Mr. Hada is prepared to pay for the return of his wife." "Wow, poor Amir. This really puts him in a horrible spot," Nicole said. "Yes. I'm sure he's very upset," Tiffany said folding the newspaper and watching as Nicole walked around the desk taking a seat in the chair nearby. "Are you still seeing him?" Nicole asked. "No." "Man this really is bad. I wonder if his lawyers are good at negotiating with terrorists?" "I don't know." "I could call my father. He'd know some guys that could help him," Nicole said referring to her mob boss father. "I don't think he needs help." "So you have talked to Amir," Nicole said smiling. "Well, he did call." "I thought so." "Have you been getting together with him?" "No. I haven't seen him Nicole," Tiffany said defensively. "You don't have to get all testy with me Tiffany. I mean I would be on your side here. You've been really cool about the little thing I had going with Greg," Nicole said referring to the young boy that lived next door. "Has he moved away yet?" "Yeah, he's gone. He swears he'll be back," she said laughing. "Aren't you afraid that Clark will catch you?" "No. I don't think Clark wants to know. Clark wants to think I'm the faithful little wife." "Well, now it's over. It's probably for the best," Tiffany said. "Until the next one comes along," Nicole said propping her feet up on the table and leaning back in the chair. "You're kidding, right?" Tiffany dared to ask. "Nope. And I think the right one has come along too," she said smiling broadly as her eyes took on a dreamy gaze. "It's none of my business," Tiffany said wanting to avoid the subject as she picked up an invoice on her desk and pretended to be studying it. "Well, you'll see him around soon." "I don't want to intrude in your business Nicole," Tiffany said. "You'll be involved like it or not," Nicole said gazing at Tiffany. "How's that?" "I'll need someone to cover for me." "I don't want to be involved," Tiffany said adamantly. "Remember that nice bonus I gave you Tiffany?" "Yes but…" "You will cover me and you'll be starting today," Nicole said. "No really." "Yes really. He'll be here any minute now. I met him recently…" she said as the front door of the townhouse opened and a handsome stranger walked in. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
