Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 17th 2003 Tiffany quickly turned up the volume to the TV when she saw the picture of her lover Amir on the screen. "When we come back we'll update you on the findings of the woman's body that was found in the Hudson River," the reporter said as the TV station went to commercial break. Tiffany's sister Starlene grabbed her lover Stanley's arm as they stood at the front door of the apartment preparing to go out. "Did you hear that?" Starlene said wide-eyed as she turned and walked back into the living room. "I bet that the body was Amir's wife," Stanley said walking to the TV. "Oh God. I don't know if I'm ready to hear this or not," Tiffany said. "If it is his wife then that means that you and Amir will soon be able to be together Tiffany," Starlene said taking a seat on the sofa beside her sister. "Or they'll investigate me because I was on the yacht with him the night that she disappeared. We were on the Hudson River," Tiffany emphasized. "They would have to prove you did something," Stanley said. "Maybe they'll say she was on the boat with us and found out about our affair or something," Tiffany said as her heart raced with the possibilities of what might be next. "Tiffany you started seeing Amir when his wife was still in a coma. It's not fair to you that it's referred to as an 'affair'," Starlene said patting her sister on the shoulder. "But I went on the yacht with him after she was well. I shouldn't have done that. I would give anything if I hadn't done that," she lied as she remembered their night of passion on his yacht. "And now we go to Lisa with the latest on the Amir Hada affair," the woman reporter said as everyone in the apartment turned their attention to the TV screen. Lisa, the reporter, talked as an image of Amir's yacht appeared beside her on the screen. "The DNA report came in a few minutes ago on the woman's body that was found in the Hudson River. There has been widespread speculation that the dead woman was the wife of wealthy billionaire and celebrity Amir Hada. Amir's wife Malena was in a coma for years before he had her moved from his island to New York City. During the time that she was in a coma the handsome foreigner was seen as an eligible bachelor. He was even seen at social events with beautiful women on his arm," the reporter said as Tiffany and Starlene glanced at each other wondering what other woman the reporter was referring to. "His wife disappeared a few months ago and since then there has been much speculation that an extremist group had captured her in an attempt to bribe money from the wealthy Manhattan socialite. The DNA evidence just came back in and it leaves more questions than answers. The body of the woman found floating in the Hudson River was not that of Amir Hada's wife," the reporter said as Tiffany and Starlene both took a collective deep breath. "This of course leaves the question as to who is the woman and where is Amir Hada's wife? We tried to get in touch with Mr. Hada but his attorney said it wasn't appropriate for him to make a comment at this time," the reporter said. "Now we'll go to our anchor in Washington on the latest news of the day," as the images of President Bush and Tony Blair came on the screen. "There you go!" Starlene said smiling at Tiffany. "Yeah. I guess I should be happy at least they won't be investigating me now," she said feeling a sense of relief. "I'm happy for you Tiffany. Look, Stanley and I have to go," she said picking up her purse from the sofa and walking towards her lover. "We're meeting one of his senator friends for drinks," Starlene said smiling at Stanley. "Will you be okay?" "Sure. I'll be fine. At least now I don't have to worry about the police coming after me," Tiffany said as she watched her sister and her lover walk towards the front door. "Good night," Starlene called out. "Have a good time," Tiffany said as the front door closed and the phone rang on the coffee table. "Hello," she answered. "You hear news?" Amir said as his lawyer walked towards the front door of his mansion to leave. "Yes! I'm so glad it wasn't her Amir," Tiffany said. "There is more they not say on TV," he said in his broken English.
