I know I remember that name," Greg said glancing at Tiffany. "This is not the right time to talk about this Greg," Tiffany said not wanting to become involved in a dispute. "Didn't you say he's your husband?" Greg asked. "Skeeter is her estranged husband and they are soon to be divorced," Jan said glancing up from her copy of Millennium Bride. She crossed her legs and leaned back on the plush leather sofa across the room. "You're one to talk Tiffany. You're still married and your husband is engaged to her," Greg whispered as he watched Jan turn pages in the glossy magazine. "Greg. If you don't mind, I have to talk to her about the divorce papers," Tiffany said glancing down at the envelope from the attorney on her desk. "Could you just give us some privacy?" Tiffany asked. "I don't have much time left. I won't be in town much longer. Can't you talk to her some other time? I really need to talk to you some more Tiffany." "It's really important Greg," Tiffany said in a whisper as Jan turned the page of the bridal magazine straining to hear their conversation. "Tiffany we've got more in common than I ever realized. Look I'll leave so the two of you can talk. I'll talk to you soon. Keep your chin up," Greg said zipping his Gap jacket and turning to walk towards the front door to leave. "Will you be coming back before you leave town?" Tiffany called out as she watched him open the front door to leave. "I don't know. I'll call," he said walking out of the door and closing it behind him. "Well, sorry if I interrupted you and your little friend," Jan said smiling and raising her eyebrows at Tiffany. "He's a neighbor." "Oh," Jan said clearing her throat. "He works for Clark." "Clark never mentioned another employee to me. This is a small company." "He only runs errands." "It looks like he enjoys his errands Tiffany," Jan said picking a piece of lint from her expensive designer suit. "Jan he's not my boyfriend. I assure you," Tiffany said wanting to blurt out that he was Nicole's boyfriend. "Don't be so sensitive. We all have needs," Jan said glancing down and turning her hand from side to side as she admired her large diamond engagement ring. "Look Jan. I'm not going to put up with your innuendoes." "Don't get touchy Tiffany. Remember that even after I'm married to Skeeter I'll still be a client here." "You think your money just buys you anything you want don't you Jan?" "It's not just the money Tiffany I can assure you that. It takes more than money to keep a man happy." "It might take money to get the man too," Tiffany said struggling to contain her anger. "Are you implying that Skeeter is marrying me for my money?" "Maybe Skeeter isn't going to marry you for money," Tiffany said biting her lip as the tears came to her eyes. "You're so jealous Tiffany. He told me about how jealous you are over everyone when the two of you would go out together." "Oh he said that huh?" "Yes" "Jan. Skeeter is an habitual liar and he's never been faithful to anyone." "Just give me the signed divorce papers Tiffany," Jan said getting up from the sofa and walking towards Tiffany's desk glancing down at the envelope. "No. I need a little more time," Tiffany said. "You've had years. Skeeter doesn't want you, just sign the papers Tiffany," Jan said pointing at the envelope. "I'll negotiate my divorce with my husband, not you Jan Morgan," Tiffany said defiantly. "He doesn't want you Tiffany. He doesn't love you at all. He wants to marry me." "Skeeter doesn't love you or want to marry you Jan. He wants your money," Tiffany said. "That's not true." "You're right. It's not exactly the truth. He wants your Father's money to be more accurate." "I see. Has my Father been talking to your little sister Starlene?" Jan said referring to Tiffany's sister and her Father Stanley's fiancée. "No comment," Tiffany said. "I should have known my Father would handle it this way. Tiffany I want those papers signed now. I'm prepared to make this easier for you", Jan said her voice filled with anger and resentment as she took her checkbook from her purse. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
