Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday February 27th 2003
"Greg surely you wouldn't do something like tell Clark about you and Nicole," Tiffany said as she watched the young man wipe the tears from his eyes.
"I don't know."
"Greg. You know it's a serious thing for you to be with Clark's wife. If he found out he would be really angry."
"I love Nicole."
"You'll get over it.  Once you and your family move to North Dakota you'll find someone else."
"I don't want to move up there. I don't want to be with my family."
"It'll be for the best that you get away from Nicole.  It's really dangerous."
"Clark's not that big," he said defiantly.
"Don't you feel kind of bad about everything Greg? I mean you started seeing Nicole when Clark was out of town.  Clark is nice enough to give you a job running errands for his company. You're still seeing his wife behind his back."
"No.  I don't feel bad about it.  If he were good enough to Nicole she wouldn't want to be with anybody else."
"That's not necessarily so.  She might be the kind of person that enjoys having affairs."
"That's not true.  Nicole said that she thought you talked about her like that. I always told her you were nice and that you wouldn't do anything like that."
"I'm not talking to anyone else about Nicole. I'm talking to you Greg.  Look Greg, do whatever you want.  But I just think you better be careful."
"What do you think, that Clark's got a gun or something?"
"No. But do you know anything about Nicole's family?" Tiffany said carefully choosing her words.
"No. I never met them. It's not exactly the kind of thing I could do since she's married."
"Just be careful."
"What, does she come from a rough family or something?"
"Let's just say her Father is well known and it's not for being Mr. Nice Guy."
"Her family is in Florida."
"Her family has connections every where."
"What are they mob or something?" he said raising his eyebrows with suspicion.
"I'm not saying anymore.  Just be careful."
"Does Clark know about her family?"
"Of course."
"Then Clark must be in with them cause he goes down to Florida all the time to work with her Father on parties. Poor Nicole, no wonder she's so lonely and confused."
"Greg don't get involved."
The front door of the townhouse opened and Greg turned quickly hoping Nicole had come home without Clark.
"Morning Tiffany," Jan said smiling as she glanced at the young neighbor standing in front of Tiffany's desk.
"Morning Jan," Tiffany said watching Jan close the door and take off her full-length mink coat tossing it onto the sofa before taking a seat.
"Don't let me interrupt you and your little friend.  I have plenty of time.   I'm not meeting Skeeter for another hour," she said glancing at her gold watch.
"Skeeter, that name is familiar," Greg said.
"He's my husband," Tiffany said.
"You mean ex-husband.  Skeeter and I are getting married soon. I just stopped by to pick up the signed divorce papers," Jan said smugly as she picked up a copy of Millennium Bride Magazine from the coffee table.
"I know I remember hearing that name before," Greg said as his mind raced through the past months.  The memories started coming back to him of his jealousy the day he'd come to the door of the townhouse. He remembered hearing Nicole with another man involved in a passionate encounter in the living room. She'd moaned and repeated a man's name.
