CASTING! BECOME A STAR ON THIS INTERACTIVE SOAP OPERA. SEND YOUR PHOTO, CLICK FOR DETAILS! Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday February 17th 2003 Skeeter watched Stanley Morgan as he talked with the well-dressed elderly man across the dining room at the expensive midtown restaurant where they had met for lunch. Skeeter saw the young blonde at the table as she smiled at Stanley. Clearly the beautiful young woman wasn't in love with her older lunch date and seemed to be indicating to Stanley that she found him attractive. Skeeter put his cell phone back in his coat pocket. He was lucky his estranged wife Tiffany had called after Stanley had excused himself to talk to his friend across the room. Skeeter hoped he had convinced Tiffany to see him one more time tonight to discuss their marriage before the divorce was final. Skeeter glanced across the dining room and saw Stanley walking back towards the table where he was seated. "A good friend of yours?" Skeeter asked as he watched Stanley pick up his napkin from the chair and take a seat at the table. "He's just an out of state governor that I've helped out a few times," Stanley said. "That his wife with him?" "No just a friend." "What state is that guy from?" "Look just forget about my friend and forget you saw him here today okay?" "Sure. I know how to be discrete." "Did you think over my offer?" Stanley asked referring to his previous statement that he wanted to pay Skeeter to break off his recent engagement to his daughter Jan. "Let's get this straight, okay?" "Sure, that's why I invited you to lunch," Stanley said taking a sip from his glass of wine. "You want to pay me to get unengaged to Jan?" "Yes." "You know Jan isn't getting any younger. Don't you want your daughter to get married?" "That would be nice." "Then I guess you just think I'm not the right guy?" "Let's just say I don't think you'd be happy," Stanley said motioning for the waiter to bring him the check. "No I don't think that's what you're trying to say. You said earlier that you thought I was after Jan's money. Isn't that right?" Skeeter asked, his eyes narrowing. "Well, you are a lingerie salesman I believe?" Stanley asked raising his eyebrows. "That's right. I might not be rich but I work." "Look there's no need to continue this conversation. I've offered to help you out. I'm sure you would enjoy having some extra cash and I know you are probably very popular with the ladies. If you accept my offer it would be the best thing for everyone," Stanley said taking the check from the waiter and handing him a credit card. "How much you offering me?" "I'm open to suggestions," Stanley said lowering his voice as he watched the waiter walk away from the table. "I guess... I guess about one hundred thousand might be okay", Skeeter said. "What?" Stanley said glancing around hoping that the people at the nearby table hadn't overheard their conversation. "You heard me." "Don't you think that's rather excessive?" "Marriage is for life," Skeeter said delighted to see perspiration on the older man's forehead. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
