Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday January 27th 2003 The doorman opened the door of Tiffany's apartment building for Skeeter and he walked into the lobby. "Who are you here to see, Sir?" the doorman asked as Skeeter heard the elevator open in the distance. He glanced up and saw Stanley Morgan walking towards him looking down as he fumbled with the bottom button on his overcoat. Skeeter quickly turned to face the doorman so that Stanley wouldn't see his face. "Just wait a minute and I'll tell you," Skeeter whispered winking at the doorman. "Good evening," the doorman said as Stanley walked by his cashmere overcoat almost brushing against Skeeter's black leather jacket. "Good evening," Stanley said as the doorman rushed towards the front door to open it for the wealthy older man. "Would you like me to call a car for you Sir?" the doorman asked glancing to towards Skeeter and noticing he had turned his back to them. "No. I see my car down the block," Stanley said spotting the long white limo in the distance. "Have a nice evening Sir," the doorman said pushing open the door for Stanley to walk out into the cold evening air. The doorman turned and walked back into the lobby where Skeeter stood turned facing the other way so that Stanley wouldn't see his face. "May I help you?" the doorman asked approaching Skeeter's side. "Yeah, ring upstairs for Tiffany Diamond and tell her Skeeter's here," he said slowly turning to see a limo pull up to the curb in front of the building. He started to turn quickly when he saw Stanley glance towards the lobby of the building. "Damn," Skeeter whispered turning around hoping the older man wouldn't recognize him. "Yes," Tiffany said picking up the phone after the doorman rang her intercom in the upstairs apartment. "A Mister Skeeter is in the lobby to see you," the doorman said. "Tell him I'll be down," Tiffany said. "She'll be right down," the doorman said hanging up the phone and noticing Skeeter nervously biting his lip. "Call back up there and tell her I want to come up," Skeeter said. "Miss Diamond said she'd be right down Sir," the doorman said. "But you don't understand I'm Mr. Diamond. I'm her husband. Just let me go up there to see my wife." "I can't do that Sir. Rules are rules," the doorman said as the elevator door opened into the lobby. "Skeeter," Tiffany said as her shoes sounded loudly on the marble floors of the lobby as she walked towards them. "Tiffany let me come upstairs right now," Skeeter said with urgency in his voice. "I can't do that Skeeter," she whispered as she noticed the doorman turning his head pretending not to hear them. "Why not?" "I just can't," she said not wanting to tell him that the apartment was Amir's and she didn't feel right having another man visit her there. "But Tiffany. I just saw Jan's father walk through this lobby," Skeeter whispered afraid to turn around worried that the limo was still at the curb. "Yeah. I know Skeeter. He was here when I came home," Tiffany said glancing towards the glass doors and seeing the limo driver opening the door for Stanley to get inside of the plush car. "I don't want him to see me here Tiffany," Skeeter pleaded. "It's too late Skeeter," Tiffany said unaccustomed to seeing her macho husband squirm. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
