Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday January 14th 2003 Jan stood listening intently for the sounds of Skeeter or Tiffany's voice behind the swinging doors to the kitchen. She had overheard Skeeter professing his love to his estranged wife Tiffany. She tiptoed closer when she heard Skeeter's voice once again after a long silence. "I want you Baby," he said. Jan stepped back in shock. She recalled Skeeter whispering those words to her many times. She knew that at any moment now Skeeter would make his move to convince his estranged wife Tiffany to succumb to his advances. Jan put her hand on the door to open it and stopped when she heard Tiffany's voice again. "Skeeter I can't do this." "Come on Tiffany, we're still married." "I'm at work Skeeter," she said glancing around the kitchen thinking what a scene this would be if Clark and Nicole came home and found them together like this. "Okay, then why don't we go out to dinner or something and talk it over," Skeeter said as she gently pushed him away. "I don't know Skeeter. We just got carried away. It would never work for us," Tiffany said checking the zipper on her leather skirt. "Don't you think you owe it to us to at least explore the chance?" he asked yearning for a few hours with his estranged wife. "I guess so," she said pulling her sweater down in the front. "Okay, then let's have supper one night," he said in his slow southern accent. "I don't know about that," she said wondering if she should accept his offer. "I could come over to your place." "No. That wouldn't suit," she said thinking about the fact that Amir owned her apartment and it wouldn't feel right to her. "I'll take you out then," he said thinking of some restaurants he'd heard about in New Jersey where they would never be seen together. "Oh Skeeter, I don't think so," she said worrying that Amir would find out she'd been with her estranged husband. "Then come to my place," he said. "Aren't you afraid that Jan would find out?" "That would be uncomfortable for you wouldn't it?" "Me? I would think it would be a lot more uncomfortable for you," she said laughing. "I'd do anything," he said. "Okay I'll come to your place." "Great. That's great Baby, when?" "I don't know. When does it suit you?" "Tonight?" "Okay. But Skeeter... " She said hesitating. "What Baby?" "No promises about this." "Sure Baby. We'll just talk," he lied. "I am a little nervous about this." "Don't be nervous Baby. It's just me," he said touching his chest. "That's why I'm nervous." "You afraid you won't be able to resist me?" "Yeah," she said honestly. "Then maybe you shouldn't. Maybe you shouldn't resist," he said pulling her towards him again and kissing her lightly on the cheek. "I'll be waiting for you Baby," he said turning and walking towards the swinging doors. "Me too Skeeter," she said smiling as he pushed the door open. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
