Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday January 10th 2003
"Let's go to your apartment Baby," Skeeter said kissing Tiffany's neck as his hands explored under the cashmere sweater she was wearing.
"Skeeter stop this," Tiffany whispered. He pressed his body closer to hers as they stood in the kitchen of the townhouse where she worked.
"Clark's not coming back anytime soon is he?" he asked referring to her boss.
"I really don't know."
"It's lunch time Tiffany.  Leave him a note and let's go to your apartment for a while," he said as he reached for the bottom of her short leather skirt.
"Skeeter this is crazy.  We've been separated for years now," she said trying to push him away.
"Tiffany you still love me.  I can feel it in your kiss," he said reaching for the zipper on the back of her skirt.
"Stop it Skeeter. Stop it," she said pushing him away a little harder than before.
"Okay.  If that's what you want. But I'm going to tell you right now Tiffany that's the wrong thing to do.  You know you still love me Baby.  I can tell that by the way you kiss me. I know you love me. How much longer do you want to wait to find out if we could make it or not?" he said glancing into her eyes.
"Skeeter you're engaged to Jan now.  Have you forgotten about that?"
"I only got engaged because you were with that foreigner... Amir," he said referring to her wealthy lover.
"I've never gotten engaged Skeeter."
"She asked me to marry her Tiffany.  It all happened so fast."
"And the big diamond ring?"
"Is that what's the matter with you?  Are you jealous over that ring?"
"No. Just asking you about it, that's all," she lied.
"Jan bought that ring Tiffany.  She bought the ring and asked me to marry her."
"But when I asked you if you had been with Jan you lied to me Skeeter," she said.
"Tiffany can you just be still a minute? Can you?" he asked pulling her towards him.
"Why?"
"Because I love you.  I want you to know that I love you. I've always loved you Baby," he said kissing her fully on the lips.
The front door of the townhouse opened and Jan walked in. She glanced around the living room and saw Tiffany's empty desk.  She quickly decided that Tiffany must have gone to lunch.  She put the envelope of pictures on the chair and took off her full-length mink coat tossing it on the sofa. She had hoped Tiffany would be around when she showed Clark the picture of Skeeter and her that she had sent to the newspaper to announce their engagement.  She quickly decided to take the pictures out of the envelope. She put the one she had selected for the newspaper on the coffee table so that Tiffany would have to see it when she came back from lunch.  She stood back looking at the picture pleased with her plan.  Her hands still cold from the chilly weather she decided a cup of coffee was in order.  She walked towards the kitchen and paused when she heard the sound of Skeeter's voice.
"But Baby, I never loved Jan."
"Then why did you accept her proposal and allow her to make everyone think you'd given her that big flashy diamond ring
she bought?" Tiffany said.
"I thought I'd lost you Tiffany, but after our kiss I know.  I still have a chance with you," he said as his fingers adeptly unzipped her leather skirt.
