Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday December 24th 2002
Tiffany rubbed her eyes as she turned over in her bed to reach for the ringing telephone.
"Hello," she answered glancing towards the alarm clock relieved she hadn't overslept.
"Hi, Tiffany did I wake you?"
"No.  I was up," Tiffany lied when she realized it was her boss Clark's wife Nicole.
"Look, Clark called from Florida last night and I'm going to fly down later."
"Oh.  Okay," Tiffany said wondering why Nicole didn't just wait until she came to the office to tell her of her plans.
"Clark won't be calling today, so why don't you just take the day off."
"Did Clark say I could?" Tiffany asked thinking about the Christmas tree that she and Starlene needed to decorate.
"I didn't ask him.  This is between you and me. Just take the day off and I'll get the phone."
"Oh that's okay Nicole."
"No. I insist the office isn't open today. I'll see you after Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas," Nicole said hanging up the phone before Tiffany could answer. Nicole placed the cell phone on the dresser of her bedroom and picked up a bottle of perfume. She sprayed her damp body then slipped on the sheer transparent beige silk robe she had chosen loosely tying it in the front. She heard the sound of the doorbell ringing downstairs.  She brushed her hands through her dark hair and turned to descend the stairs quickly.
"Just a minute," she called out as the bell sounded repeatedly.
She pulled on the front door of the townhouse and found it was stuck with ice.  She gave it another quick tug before it opened suddenly pulling her robe open in the front as the cold morning air chilled her freshly showered body.
"Skeeter," she said smiling as she saw his eyes automatically focus on her bosom.
"Hay Baby, you alone?" he asked. He remembered yesterday when he stopped by to talk to his estranged wife Tiffany. Nicole had been upstairs with her young lover Greg from next door.
"I told you when you called last night that I'd be alone. Come on in," she said smiling as she glanced behind him to see if anyone was watching. She closed the door and glanced towards the tightly drawn drapes, satisfied that no one could see her secret visitor.
"You sure the guy next door isn't coming over?" Skeeter asked taking off his black leather jacket and throwing it over the chair.
"No!  Why? Didn't Tiffany tell you he's just a friend?" Nicole asked. She wondered if that huge bonus that she had given Tiffany was going to keep her quiet.
"It's been a long time Baby," he said ignoring the comment and walking towards her as she stood in the entrance hallway of the townhouse.
"That's because you're engaged to marry Jan, remember?"
"And you're married too," he said untying her robe and pulling her towards him.
"Your hands are cold Skeeter," she said smiling and jumping slightly as his fingers explored her silky soft skin.
"You going to warm me up Baby?" he asked as her robe fell from her shoulders and dropped to the floor.
"I always do don't I?"
"Yeah, nothing is going to change is it?" he asked.
"You mean after you marry Jan?"
"If I marry her I'll need you more than ever", he said as he pushed her bare body against the front door.  He kissed her soft neck feeling intoxicated by the familiar smell of her perfume.
"I know what you mean," she said breathless with anticipation feeling the movement of his fingers then hearing the sound of his belt buckle hitting the floor.
