Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday December 20th 2002
Tiffany listened at the base of the stairs to the conversation coming from Clark's upstairs bedroom as his wife Nicole talked to her young lover Greg from next door.  Clark had just left for Florida this morning and Greg didn't waste a minute before he came over to see Nicole.
"Look Greg, I'm a married woman. We're just having fun.  If you can't accept this then we have to end the relationship," Nicole said.
"Nicole I'm in love with you. I want you to divorce Clark and marry me when I get out of school."
"We're having an affair Greg, that's all."
"I want it to be more than that.  I can't stand to see you with Clark."
"Then maybe we need to quit seeing each other for a while."
"No. I couldn't stand that.  Please Nicole.  Don't you love me?"
"I like you."
"I've never felt like this before."
"You'll get over it."
"Don't talk like that Nicki. I can't stand it.  It almost killed me when I looked through the living room window yesterday afternoon and saw Clark kissing you," he said remembering how Nicole looked on the sofa with her sheer robe open in the front.
"It didn't mean anything," she said satisfied that he'd seen the encounter as she had anticipated.
"Does it mean anything to you when we're together?"
"Well, sure," she lied.
"Oh Nicki. I've missed you so much," he said as Tiffany heard the sounds of them taking a seat on Nicole's bed.
"You want to come over to my house? Are you afraid Clark will come home?"
"No. He won't come back for a few days," Nicole said.
"Will Tiffany tell that I'm here?"
"No.  She's not ever going to tell anyone.  She's working for me now."
"I'll close the door," he said walking across the bedroom to close the door. Tiffany stepped back to be sure the young man couldn't see her at the base of the stairs.
Tiffany heard a light tapping on the front door and quickly turned and opened the door.
"Hay Baby," Skeeter said grinning and glancing down at the short skirt his estranged wife was wearing.
"Skeeter what are you doing here?" she asked softly.
"I came by to talk to you."
"About what?"
"The arrangements we need to make and stuff like that."
"What arrangements? The divorce?"
"Yeah and to see how you're doing.  Is Clark here?"
"No, he's in Florida."
"Well, aren't you going to invite me in so we can talk."
"Skeeter why?"
"We got some things we need to settle."
"Alright come in," she said waving her hand towards the sofa and closing the front door.
Skeeter took a seat on the sofa and watched as she walked towards him taking a seat in a nearby chair.
"So you want a divorce so you can marry Jan?" she said staring at her handsome estranged husband. Memories of their wedding years ago rushed back to her.
"I don't know for sure about any wedding but we should get this behind us anyway, don't you think?"
"I don't know," Tiffany said as the bed upstairs hit the wall.
"I thought you said Clark was gone?"
"He is but Nicole's here," Tiffany said enjoying the shocked look on Skeeter face.  "Whose up there with her?"
"Are you jealous Skeeter?" Tiffany asked having suspected her estranged husband had been involved with Nicole in the past.
