Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday December 16th 2002 Tiffany watched through the living room window as the young neighbor Greg turned and walked towards his townhouse next door. Nicole pulled her sheer robe closed as she turned to face her husband Clark. Tiffany watched as Clark waved his hands towards the townhouse next door and then his attention turned towards Nicole's transparent robe. Surely Clark would soon be suspicious that Nicole had been secretly seeing the young neighbor while he was in Florida. Tiffany noticed that Nicole's expressions seemed angry as she turned and walked towards the front door and opened it with a quick jerk. "I told you Clark I just met that guy," Nicole said as she quickly walked into the living room of the townhouse as Clark followed her. "Well, he sure got an eye full of you Nicole. How do you know he's not a rapist or something," Clark said eyeing his brides body under the revealing robe as he closed the door. "Clark, that's enough. Look poor Tiffany is still here waiting on us," Nicole said smiling at Tiffany and walking towards the sofa where Tiffany was seated. "Yes, here ladies, I have your coffee," Clark said opening the Starbucks bag and taking out two Mochas and placing them on the coffee table. "Clark I really think I should just go home," Tiffany said feeling uneasy with the situation. She had agreed to come to his office to discuss her recent firing and felt the conversation wasn't getting anywhere. "Well, if you don't want to come to some kind of understanding then there's nothing I can do. I would think that you would need a job though," Clark said taking a couple of Danish from the bag and putting them on napkins for the women. "I do need a job, but I didn't do anything wrong and I don't want to continue like this," Tiffany said reaching for her purse. "It's entirely up to you Tiffany. If you don't want to work for me any longer then I understand. Nicole and I will have to handle the work ourselves," Clark said with a stiff upper lip. "No Tiffany, look I don't want your job. You do a good job. I think we've just had a few misunderstandings. Clark's sorry for what he said, aren't you Clark?" Nicole said turning to glare at her husband. "Well... " "He's sorry. Look Tiffany we'll give you a raise. You've worked here a long time and you deserve it," Nicole said. "What kind of raise?" Tiffany asked. "What would you like?" "Nicole, wait a minute. We didn't talk this over," Clark said. "I've decided," Nicole said frowning at her husband. "We can't afford anything like that right now honey," Clark said pleadingly. "Yes. I will be putting some of my own money into the business and I can use it the way I see fit," Nicole said watching Tiffany. "I don't know," Tiffany said seeing the uncertainty on Clark's face. "It's my decision and it's final. I don't make these kinds of offers often. I'm prepared to give you a bonus if you stay," Nicole said walking to a nearby table and opening the drawer. She took out a check and walked towards the sofa where Tiffany was seated. "But Nicole. Shouldn't we talk this over?" Clark asked glancing at the amount on the check as she walked past him towards Tiffany. "Clark, I've made the decision and it's final. Do you want me be a part of your business and your life or not?" she asked angrily. "Sure honey," he mumbled. "Here, I don't make these offers but once and it's now or never," Nicole said handing the check to Tiffany. "If you accept this I expect loyalty," Nicole said watching as Tiffany's eyes widened when she glanced down at the zeros on the check. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
