CASTING! BECOME A STAR ON THIS INTERACTIVE SOAP OPERA. SEND YOUR PHOTO, CLICK FOR DETAILS! Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday November 25th 2002 "Mr. Morgan, I'm going to lunch at Dim's Quick Chinese would you like for me to bring you back some Lo Mein?" his secretary asked from his office door in the Empire State Building. "Oh, no thanks. I've got a lot of work to do and then I'm meeting with the Mayor later this afternoon," Stanley said smiling as he watched his young secretary button her coat to leave. "Take your time. I don't have any appointments for a while and I can catch the phone while you're out." "Thanks Mr. Morgan," she said walking down the hallway towards the glass doors in the lobby pushing them open and hitting the button for the elevator. Stanley heard the doors close and the elevator stop outside in the hallway. He pulled open his desk drawer and took out the new issue of Playbody magazine. He turned around in his plush leather chair to face the window with the view of Manhattan below. He propped his feet up on the credenza and opened the magazine to the centerfold. He thought about Starlene and how much she resembled the pretty airbrushed blonde posing on the beach. It had been a long time since Starlene had begged him to get in touch with the editors of Playbody to help her get a modeling job. Getting engaged had quieted her down a lot. He thought about his former girlfriend Laney and how excited she had been when he arranged for her to pose for the elite men's magazine. Laney had gone on to make it big in B movies in California. "Father are you busy?" Jan said barging into his office unexpectedly. "Jan!" he said closing the magazine quickly as he took his feet down and turned around to face his daughter. He opened his desk drawer nonchalantly and put the magazine inside hoping she hadn't seen the cover. "Where's your secretary?" Jan asked taking off her full-length mink coat and tossing it on a chair as she took a seat across from her Father's desk. "Oh she went to lunch." "You really shouldn't let her leave the premises at lunch. It doesn't look successful to come in and see an empty reception desk." "It's no big deal. What brings you out in this cold weather? Are you Christmas shopping?" he asked. "No. I have something to tell you." "It must be important for you to go to enough trouble to stop by my office." "Well it is important. I wanted you to be one of the first to know." "What?" "I'm getting married." "Well, gee whiz. I never thought I'd hear that." "I always knew you would. I've taken my time Father." "I didn't mean any harm. Well who's the lucky man?" "Skeeter," she said smugly. "What?" he asked frowning and then smiling as if he knew she must have been kidding him. "Skeeter Diamond," she said enjoying the shock on her Father's face. "You mean Tiffany's husband?" "Estranged husband. Soon to be divorced, my lawyers have served her papers." "Jan have you lost your mind?" he asked slumping back in his leather chair. "No. It's time I get married." "Well, it's past time that you get married. But why would you want to marry that sleaze?" "Sleaze! Look at Starlene," she said referring to his young girlfriend and Skeeter's ex-sister-in-law. "That's different. I'm a man." "An old man Father." "And Skeeter is a sleazy lingerie salesman. What can he do for you?" he asked louder than he had anticipated. "The same thing Starlene does for you," she said getting up from her chair and grabbing her coat to leave. "But just have an affair with him. You don't have to make a public spectacle of yourself." "Get used to it. I'm marrying Skeeter. Oh and don't let me stop you…go ahead and finish your magazine," she said turning and walking out of his office slamming the door behind her. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
