Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday November 18th 2002 "Tiffany have you seen the proposal for the McAdams Christmas party?" Clark asked walking into the living room of his townhouse where he lives and works in Greenwich Village. "Mrs. McAdams stopped by yesterday afternoon and picked it up," Tiffany said never looking up from the work on her desk. The front door of the townhouse opened and Jan walked in. "What a nice surprise. It's really getting cold out there isn't it?" Clark asked smiling at his wealthy client. "I didn't notice," she said taking off her full-length mink and tossing it on the chair beside the door. "Would you like some coffee?" Clark asked walking towards her and kissing her on the cheek as they stood together in the entrance hall. "Actually I wanted to see if you would like to have lunch today," she said glancing towards Tiffany's desk and noticing that Tiffany wasn't watching them. "Well, I guess I could..." he said thoughtfully. "I was going to drop off the proposal for the McAdams party but Tiffany said they picked it up. I just need to call them and see if they liked the figures," he said glancing down at his wrist watch. "Well, okay. I'll wait here while you go up and call," she said. "Okay. Your visit is a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting to see you today." "Well I have some business for you," she said glancing towards Tiffany pleased to see her look up at the news. "Really?" Clark asked. "Yes, I have a lot of news actually," Jan said coyly. "Good. I can't wait to hear." "Well, I guess I should go ahead and tell you now. That will save time so we can discuss the parties over lunch," she said her voice getting a little louder with excitement. "I'm engaged," she said holding out her hand for him to see the huge diamond ring. "Oh my God!" Clark said as his jaw dropped at the sight of the diamond. "Yes, I thought we could talk about some parties, the wedding, etc. etc." she said glancing towards Tiffany. "The timing couldn't be better. You know business has been a little off this year. Oh this is truly exciting." "Thanks," she said pretending to be embarrassed. "Well, when did this happen? I had no idea." "I just got engaged last night," she said brushing her hair from her face. "Last night?" "Yes, I'm a little exhausted today but I have so many details to take care of I didn't want to wait too long to start working on the arrangements." "Jan this is wonderful," he said thinking about how much money he'd make on her wedding. "Thank you Clark." "Tiffany look at this," he said taking Jan's hand in his and holding it up for Tiffany to see the large sparkling diamond ring. "Wow," Tiffany said thinking Jan must be engaged to one of her Father's wealthy friends. "That's really a rock Jan. I know you must have been really surprised when you opened that box," Clark said. "There was a lot of surprise," she said remembering how shocked Tiffany's estranged husband Skeeter was when he found out she had bought the engagement ring for him to give her. "Okay. I have to confess that since Nicole and I got married, I have been so involved with my life and work that I've neglected you. But I can see that you must have been well taken care of all of these months. So who is the lucky fellow?" Clark asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
