Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday November 5th 2002 Tiffany watched as Jan looked through pictures of flower arrangements in a floral designer's brochure. "Honestly, these designs are so ordinary," Jan said tossing the brochure on the coffee table. "Would you like for me to call a few more vendors?" Tiffany asked. "No. I'll just stop by a few shops in the flower district and find something suitable for the office." The door to the townhouse where Tiffany worked opened and Tiffany's sister Starlene walked in closing the door behind her. "Hi Tiffany. I just couldn't wait to come by and tell you my big news," Starlene said having not seen that Jan was seated on the sofa nearby. "Oh good. I'll get to hear this earth shaking news too," Jan said pretending to be yawning. "Oh, I didn't see her," Starlene said taking off her coat and hanging it on the rack in the entrance hall. "What's new?" Tiffany asked smiling at her sister. "Well, maybe we could go to lunch or something," Starlene said glancing towards Jan and frowning. "No. I can't leave. Nicole and Clark are out of the office. Jan is waiting for Clark to come back," Tiffany said glancing towards Jan. "Oh. Well, I guess I could tell you later," Starlene said clearly disappointed that they weren't alone. "Don't mind me. I certainly am not interested," Jan said getting up and walking past Tiffany's desk towards the kitchen. "I have a career to think about. Is there coffee made in the kitchen Tiffany?" Jan said starting to push the swinging doors open to the kitchen behind Tiffany's desk. "Yes, I just made a pot of coffee." "Tiffany, guess what?" Starlene asked. "What honey?" Tiffany asked as Jan started into the kitchen. "Stanley and I have decided to set a wedding date," Starlene said, her voice filled with spiteful excitement. "What?" Tiffany asked glancing behind her to see that Jan had heard the news and stopped to turn and look at Starlene. "What kind of gossip are you spreading now Starlene?" Jan asked walking back into the living room. "We are getting married. We decided last night. I wanted to tell you last night Tiffany but I spent the night at Stanley's," Starlene said happy with the shock she saw on Jan's face. "Honey that's wonderful," Tiffany said forcing a smile and glancing towards Jan. "My Father will never marry you Starlene." "Oh yes he will. He loves me." "He's using you and you're using him," Jan said walking towards Tiffany's desk clearly forgetting about the coffee. "I am not using Stanley." "Oh yes you are. I've seen them come and go. You're all alike. Blonde, dumb and young," Jan said. "I resent that Jan Morgan." "No it's more like you represent that. You're exactly the kind that always goes after my Father for his money. It won't happen Starlene. It will never happen," Jan said walking towards the entrance hall and the coat rack. "Oh yes it will. We're getting married, you'll see." "When? When did my Father say he'd marry you?" she said taking her mink coat from the rack and starting to put it on to leave. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
