Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday October 30th 2002 "I'm sorry that will have to be all for today, it seems the rain is picking up again," Amir's lawyer Mr. Siller said turning to leave. The reporter rushed forward as Amir and his attorney started to walk towards the entrance to Amir's Upper East Side mansion. The TV cameraman hurriedly focused on the developing scene. "One more question... one more question... " the reporter said rushing forward holding his microphone towards Amir. "We've heard reports that you have a mistress, could that have anything to do with the disappearance of your wife?" the reporter asked. "Mr. Hada will not be answering any more questions today," Mr. Siller said as he took Amir's arm and they rushed towards his mansion. "Well, there you have it. The latest reports are that an extremist group is holding Mrs. Hada until Mr. Hada agrees to leave the country. Mr. Siller the attorney for Mr. Hada says that this extremist group doesn't like immigrants in this country. We can only guess that it might also have something to do with the fact that Mr. Hada is an extremely wealthy immigrant and property owner in New York City," the reporter said turning slightly to watch as the door to Amir's mansion closed. The screen on the television switched to the studio. "JD we heard you ask about Mr. Hada's mistress. Do you have any word as to who she might be?" the woman reporter asked as the scrolling marquee passed on the bottom of the screen with the latest updates from Wall Street. "Yes. Matter of fact we do. The reports are that Mr. Hada was seen with a Mrs. Tiffany Diamond the evening of his wife's disappearance." "Is this the same woman he had been seen with in the past?" the reporter asked as Tiffany felt her legs weakening. She glanced behind her quickly to see that her boss Clark, his wife Nicole and her sister's lover Stanley were watching the TV and hadn't noticed her nervousness. "Yes this is the same woman that has been photographed at Mr. Hada's mansion before his wife moved back to the states. This seems to have been a long term relationship before Mrs. Hada awoke from her coma." "Do we know the relationship between Mr. Hada and Mrs. Diamond?" "The reports I have are that Mrs. Diamond was on a yacht with Mr. Hada the evening of his wife's disappearance. I'm sure the police have questioned Mrs. Diamond and we will continue to follow this story as it unfolds. As you can see the rain has picked up again and we'll bring you updates as soon as we have any further information," the reporter said as the TV station went to commercial break. Tiffany glanced around the room at the faces of her co-workers. "This looks really bad for you," Nicole said brushing her rain-dampened hair from her face. Nicole had spent most of her day running around in the rain arguing with Stanley. Her husband Clark had come home early from his trip to Florida and almost caught her cheating with the older man. "Yes it does Tiffany," Clark said putting his arm around his wife as they stood together in the living room of his townhouse where they worked and lived. Clark's suitcases were still at the base of the staircase where he had left them a few minutes ago after arriving home to find his new bride out in the rain. "I'm sorry Tiffany," Stanley said his suit still wet from the rain. He had rushed back to the townhouse hoping to patch up his relationship with Nicole after their heated argument this morning. He never thought that Clark might arrive home unexpectedly. "I just can't believe they're going to bring this up again," Tiffany said exhausted from the events of the day. "Well, you had been with Amir on his yacht the night his wife disappeared," Clark said still angry that she had disobeyed his employment rules and became involved with his wealthy client. "Clark we've been through all of that. I just went on the yacht to talk to Amir," she lied thinking of the passion that they had shared that night. "Well he's a married man," Nicole said stepping closer to Clark. "Yes, he's married. But his wife had been in a coma for a long time," Tiffany said shocked that Nicole would have the nerve to say anything after she had been upstairs with the boy next door several times and obviously had a serious clandestine relationship with Stanley. "There you go again," Nicole said pouting as she turned to glance towards Clark. "What?" Tiffany said frowning. "Tiffany you haven't been giving Nicki a hard time while I was gone have you?" Clark asked putting his arm around his bride. "I better go. I'm late for a meeting," Stanley said rushing towards the front door. "Stanley wait a minute," Nicole said walking towards the older man.
