Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday October 29th 2002 "Mr. Siller, Mr. Siller, what is the latest word on Mrs. Hada's disappearance?" the reporter asked holding his microphone towards Amir's lawyer. Amir stood beside the well-dressed attorney watching the events unfold in front of his Upper East Side mansion. "I can't go into too many details right now but I can tell you that we have received a message that Mrs. Hada's disappearance is linked to an extremist group," the lawyer said backing away from the microphone as though he were finished with his interview. "Extremist group, can you tell us which one?" the reporter asked. Tiffany's heart raced as she stood in the living room watching the coverage with her boss Clark, his wife Nicole and her sister's lover Stanley Morgan. "All I can tell you at this time is that this extremist group released a note saying they have Mrs. Hada and they won't release her until Mr. Hada agrees to go back to his country and leave the United States." "But Mr. Hada is a citizen of the United States," the reporter said holding the microphone towards the attorney as the cameras flashed. "Yes, Mr. Hada is a citizen of the United States and will be protected as any other citizen would be," the attorney said. "Well why would they want Mr. Hada to go back to his island?" "This group is against immigration into the United States," the attorney said. "Is Mrs. Hada alive?" "We don't know. We certainly hope so," Mr. Siller said glancing towards Amir and watching him brush a tear from his face. "Did this group give a time limit as to when they would release Mrs. Hada if Mr. Hada does leave the country?" "No." "Did they ask for money?" "No." "Do you think they are serious?" "Well, anytime someone is missing for weeks we certainly take any lead seriously. However we have received several messages from other organizations that might be involved." "So the FBI isn't sure that this group of extremists really have Mrs. Hada?" "No. We are still looking into all leads and possibilities. We don't have any suspects as this time, but everyone is a suspect until we do," the lawyer said. "I don't know how to ask this any other way but to come right out with this question," the reporter said glancing towards Amir before finishing his sentence. "But we've heard rumors that the FBI and the police are investigating Mr. Hada in the disappearance of his wife," the reporter said as Amir stared at him expressionless. "The spouse is always questioned in these types of investigations," Mr. Siller said. "Yes, but in this case we've heard that Mrs. Hada was in a coma for years and she had only regained her memory a few weeks before her disappearance," the reporter said. "That's correct," Mr. Siller said as his assistant came forward with a large umbrella as it started to rain again. "We've also heard reports that Mr. Hada had been living as a single man before Mrs. Hada moved New York to live with her husband," the reporter said holding the microphone towards the lawyer. "I'm sorry that will have to be all for today, it seems the rain is picking up again," Mr. Siller said turning to leave. "One more question... one more question... " the reporter said rushing forward holding his microphone towards Amir. "We've heard reports that you have a mistress, could that have anything to do with the disappearance of your wife?" the reporter asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
