Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday October 14th 2002
"Tiffany I'm home!"  Starlene called out loudly as she slammed the door to their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park.
"In here," Tiffany answered picking up the remote to the television and turning down the sound as she watched her younger sister walk into the living room. She watched as Starlene dropped her overnight bag on the floor.
"Hi!" Starlene said taking off her jacket and throwing it over a nearby chair.
"Hi, how was your trip to Washington?"
"You wouldn't believe it Tiffany," Starlene said smiling broadly.
"Well, tell me all about it," Tiffany said patting the sofa cushion for her sister to come sit beside her.
"Washington is so pretty.  I just love the city."
"I hope I get to go there one day," Tiffany said.
"And the gala, wow!" Starlene said as her eyes lit up.
"Really nice, huh?"
"Oh my God.  We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown," she said breathless from excitement.
"Georgetown?  I thought you said you went to Washington DC."
"That is Washington.  You wouldn't believe the hotel Tiffany, it was so elegant.  It was really close to the White House," she said as her eyes widened.
"Wow.  I bet it was nice," Tiffany said hoping one day she would get to see the nation's capital.
"And then we went to the gala!"
"Yeah, how was that?"
"I'm changing my name to Lady Starlene," she said sticking her chin out and looking down her nose.
"Did you meet important people?"
"Lots of Senators, Congressmen and some ambassadors."
"Aren't you something?" Tiffany said smiling.
"Yeah, and everyone knew my Stanley too," she said referring to her older wealthy lover.
"Was your dress right?" Tiffany asked wondering if the low cut dress Starlene had bought for the occasion was proper for the affair.
"I looked better than any of those other women."
"I bet you did," Tiffany said remembering the sight of Starlene and her voluptuous protruding bosom in the long evening dress.
"I have a picture that was taken," Starlene said picking up her purse from the coffee table and opening it.  She took out an embossed folder and opened it holding it up for her sister to see.
"Oh wow," Tiffany said as she took the picture from her sister and looked closely. She saw Starlene standing in the center of the picture, her voluptuous bosom protruding in the low cut evening dress. Stanley was standing next to her in a black tuxedo.  The other couples looked much older and the women's evening dresses were very conservative.
"What do you think?" Starlene asked.
"You look nice honey. How was the party?" Tiffany said handing the picture back to her sister.
"You see all of these old senators and ambassadors here," Starlene said pointing to the distinguished older men.
"Yeah", Tiffany nodded.
"All of them asked me for my phone number when Stanley wasn't looking," Starlene said proudly.
"You didn't give any of them your number though did you?"
"A couple.  But I did tell them I'm engaged."
"You didn't?"
"Well, if Stanley doesn't soon set the date for our wedding I might be moving to Washington," she said as the phone rang on the coffee table.
