Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday October 9th 2002 Tiffany typed the last invoice and turned off her computer. She wondered how Clark was doing in Florida. She knew his party planning business had been slow this past year. When he left town the other day he seemed so excited about booking parties in Florida. She wondered if he realized that Nicole's father's connections would all be Mafia business. Her thoughts were interrupted when the front door of the townhouse opened and the handsome neighbor walked in. "Hi. Is Nicole here?" he asked closing the door behind him. "No. She left a note saying that she had gone to lunch with a friend," Tiffany said as she watched him walk into the living room. "Oh, I hope you don't mind if I wait here for her then," he said taking a seat on the sofa as he glanced around the living room. "No. That will be fine. Don't you live next door?" Tiffany asked remembering that she'd seen Nicole standing outside obviously flirting with the young man a few days ago. "Yeah. Well, I'm moving soon," he said. "Oh. My name is Tiffany," she said smiling. "My name is Greg. Nice to meet you." "You too Greg," Tiffany said admiring his broad shoulders as he leaned back on the plush leather sofa. "So this is the party planning business that Nicki's been telling me about?" "Yeah." "You must be Tiffany the girl that works for her husband Clark." "That's right." "Nice place isn't it?" "Yeah, it's a nice townhouse." "I guess it must feel a little strange working in someone's private home though." "Sometimes it's hard. Especially now that he and Nicole just got married." "They just got married?" "Yeah, only a few weeks ago." "Man! Nicki didn't tell me that." "What did she tell you?" Tiffany asked wondering if Nicole had denied even being married. "Just that she had a husband that worked with her Father down in Florida." "Well Clark's there now," Tiffany said thinking how funny his remark was since this was Clark's first business trip to Florida. "I know she must be glad to have you around, it keeps her from being so lonely while her old man is gone all the time," he said picking up a copy of a travel magazine from the table. "Clark isn't gone that often." "No?" he asked glancing up from the magazine obviously surprised by her remark. "No. He really just started going down there for parties." "Sounds like he'll be gone a lot now though," he said glancing back down at the magazine. "Oh," Tiffany said wondering if this stranger was more of an insider than she was in Clark's business affairs. "You live around here?" he asked tossing the magazine back on the glass coffee table. "Yeah. I live just down the street across from Washington Square Park. "Really. Where?" "On the corner of MacDougal and West 4th Street," Tiffany said. "Wow! Nicole said that one of the apartments her real estate broker just showed was near there." "Nicole's real estate agent?" Tiffany asked wondering what Nicole was up to now. "Yeah, some older guy named Mr. Morgan," he said as the front door opened and Nicole walked in. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
