Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday October 1st 2002 Tiffany sat down at her desk and quickly opened a file folder hoping to appear as if she had been working. She didn't want Nicole to know that she had tiptoed towards the staircase trying to overhear her telephone conversation with Doctor Lawson's office. She knew the doctor's office had called with the results of a pregnancy test. She heard Nicole pick up the phone immediately afterwards and make another phone call. "I'm going out," Nicole said walking towards a table in the living room to pick up her purse. "Oh. What should I tell anyone if they call?" Tiffany asked trying to appear nonchalant. "I'm not expecting any calls," Nicole said opening her wallet and noticing that she didn't have much money. "Tiffany give me some money from petty cash," she said walking towards Tiffany's desk. "Here", Tiffany said opening her desk drawer and taking out the envelope. "Just tell me how much you take and bring me a receipt," Tiffany said watching Nicole take money from the envelope. "I took twenty," Nicole said handing Tiffany the envelope. "What should I put down that it's for? The accountant will be picking up the receipts today," Tiffany said. "It's for a cab," Nicole snapped. "Where are you going?" Tiffany asked casually picking up a pen from her desk to make a note. "Why so many questions?" "I have to put down something for the accountant." "I'm going to a business meeting. Gee, what a federal case," Nicole said stuffing the twenty in her purse and turning to walk towards the front door. She stopped when the door opened and her new groom Clark walked in. "Hi Honey," he said smiling broadly. "Hi Clark. How was your sales appointment?" Nicole asked. "I didn't get the party. But you know it's just as well, I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to Florida," he said. "You are?" "Yeah. Your Father called and he wants me to do a party for the city planning committee," Clark said. "Sounds like a lot of important connections," Clark said proud of his new business dealings in Florida. "Oh you'll be making a lot of connections with Daddy alright," Nicole said as she thought of the many Mafia related meetings she had watched her Father arrange. "Look honey, I'll be back late this afternoon," Nicole said walking towards her new husband and kissing him on the cheek. "Where are you going? I was going to take you to lunch." "I've got some shopping to do," she said. "But I'm leaving tomorrow morning Nicole." "Well, I have things I have to do Clark. I'll try to get back early." "Well I certainly hope so. You know I might be staying in Florida for a week or more. I want us to have some more time together before I leave," he said pulling her close to him. "I'll do the best I can," she said glancing at her watch and avoiding his kisses. "Nicki you can shop after I'm gone," he said brushing her hair from her face and kissing her on the cheek. "Maybe I'm going to shop for something special for you," she lied pulling away from him. "Oh. I don't have a present for you honey. You don't have to do that. I'd rather spend the time with you," he said admiring her legs in the short leather skirt as she walked towards the front door to leave. "We're married Clark. Get over it," she said opening the front door. "What does that mean?" he said his voice filled with disappointment. "It means I love only you and we have the rest our life to be together," she said quickly forcing a smile. "I love you too Nicki," he said as she slammed the door. Clark watched the door close and turned to glance towards Tiffany as she sat at her desk watching. "Tiffany call the florist and order three dozen long stems roses for Nicki please." "What should I have them write on the card Clark? Is it a special occasion?" she asked surprised by his sudden request. "Let me think of something creative here," he said biting his lip as he thought. "I've got it. Tell them to write, 'one dozen roses for you, one for me, hope one day baby makes three,'" he said smiling proudly. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
