Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday September 23rd 2002 "What are they saying on TV," Tiffany asked holding the phone closer. She wished she weren't at work so she could watch the news report on TV instead of hearing it over the phone while she talked to her sister. "Shh!" Starlene said reaching for the remote and turning up the volume on the television set. The television camera switched from the scene at Amir's mansion on the Upper East Side to the TV studio in midtown. "That's the scene at Amir Hada's Sutton Place mansion as detectives have revealed the latest clues in the case of the multi-millionaire's missing wife. Stay tuned and we'll bring you any further reports as they become available to News Channel 60," the reporter said as an advertisement for Celebrity Cruise ships came on air. "What? What did they say Starlene?" Tiffany said hearing the music for the familiar advertisement in the background. "I only caught the end of the report Tiffany. I saw Amir being interviewed at his mansion but I didn't hear what they found out about his wife," Starlene said throwing the remote on the sofa beside her in their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "I've got to know what's happening with Amir's wife," Tiffany said as she heard the bed upstairs in her bosses bedroom hit the wall with so much force she wondered if he and his new bride had hurt themselves. "Oh God," Tiffany said in disgust. "It'll be okay Tiffany, they'll find her," Starlene said thinking Tiffany was concerned about the whereabouts of her lover's missing wife. "No. It's not that. It's Nicole and Clark," she said hearing footsteps in the upstairs bathroom and the water turned on in the shower. "They still up there doin' it?" "I guess they're finished now. This is just too much. I don't know how much longer I can work here like this," Tiffany said. "Well he'll be gone to Florida and you'll only have to put up with her." "I guess that's true. At least I won't have to listen to the newlywed game. But I'll still have to put up with her Starlene." "So Clark didn't believe you when you told him that you thought Nicole had been with Skeeter?" Starlene asked remembering how they had recently watched Nicole coming out of Tiffany's estranged husband's apartment building. "No. She said she was looking at properties for her Father to buy. He believes her. He believes anything she says and then she takes him upstairs and makes sure he's happy. She's got him wrapped around her little finger." "I think she's got him wrapped around something more than her finger Tiffany." "It's just disgusting. I've got to find another job. Maybe while Clark is gone to Florida I'll look around." "That's a good idea. You want me to ask Stanley if he knows of anything?" "No! Stanley is Clark's client, he might tell him." "He won't tell if I ask him not to," Starlene said thinking about her older lover and the connections he had. "I don't know Starlene. I'll think about it. I guess I'll start by looking in the paper" "Well, I'll be seeing Stanley tonight." "I thought you were seeing him this morning. Isn't today your usual time to be with him?" Tiffany asked knowing her sister's older lover had a certain time each week that the two lovers spent together. "He called and said someone came in from out of town and that's why he didn't call me as usual." "Oh," Tiffany said wondering if Stanley was cheating with Nicole again. "You know I wonder if he's been with Nicole again. Was she in the office this morning?" "No she just came in a few minutes ago." "Damn," Starlene said convinced Stanley had been with her again. "Yeah but she and Clark went straight upstairs and believe me they haven't been talking," Tiffany said embarrassed by the sounds of the passion she had overheard. "You think just because she was doing it with her husband just now she wouldn't have been with my Stanley earlier?" Starlene asked. "No woman would do that Starlene." "Nicole's not like other women Tiffany… I've got to go," Starlene said suddenly. "Where are you going?" "To Stanley's to find out." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
