Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday August 27th 2002
"Where did you tell your husband you'd be?"  Skeeter asked Nicole as she sat beside him on his futon sofa in his Bleecker Street apartment.
"Watering plants in my apartment."
"Do you think he'll call you there?"
"No.  After being gone for a week, he's got a lot of stuff to go over with Tiffany," she said referring to Skeeter's estranged wife and her husband's secretary. "Have you talked to her again lately?"
"No.  I was so damn mad after going to her apartment and knowing she had that rich foreigner there," he said in his slow southern accent.
"Why? Why were you angry?"
"Because she lies about everything.  She told me she wasn't seeing him.  And he lies more than anybody."
"What do you mean?"
"His wife is missing and you see him on TV acting like he's so upset.  Then he goes to Tiffany's apartment and jumps in bed with my wife," Skeeter said feeling his anger return.
"Well, I'm glad you left and didn't do anything foolish Skeeter."
"I took care of it," he said tilting his head in defiance.
"What?  What do you mean?"
"I called the TV station and they sent a reporter over there."
"Get out of here," she said smiling and hitting him on the leg.
"Yeah.  You think I'm going to sit around and let him get away with that?"
"Didn't they ask your name?"
"Well, sure.  I gave them another name.  They want to catch this guy cheating so bad they don't care who turns him in."
"I didn't see it on TV did you?"
"No, but we haven't exactly been watching TV either," she said.
"No.  We've been talking too much if you ask me," Skeeter said pulling her closer to him.
"Have you missed me Skeeter?"
"More than you know.  I wish you hadn't married him Nicole."
"Well, it's done now."
"Did he get along with your family."
"Sure.  They like him."
"How do you know?"
"Cause Daddy's planning on getting Clark to arrange a few of the company parties for him in Florida soon."
"So Clark's into the money now," Skeeter said resentful that he wasn't the one that had the good luck.
"Yeah, but while Clark's away I'll be here taking care of business," Nicole said smiling as she unbuttoned Skeeter's shirt.
"Oh.  Is that the way this is going to work out?"
"Yeap.  I hate Florida and if Daddy thinks I'm coming back he's crazy."
"What about Clark. Do you think he'll want to move to Florida?"
"I think he does want to move there."
"Well, a woman's got to go with her husband doesn't she?"
"Not this woman. I'm not the ordinary wife," she said smiling as she felt his hand under her sweater.
"No there's nothing ordinary about you Baby.  Nothing," he said pushing her down on the sofa as he unzipped her jeans.
