Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday July 25th 2002 "I don't know Starlene. I don't think I should see Amir again." "Never again?" Starlene asked as she stopped pacing the living room of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. She glanced towards her sister seated on the sofa. "No. I think if I'm alone with him again, then you know how it would end up." "In bed with him?" Starlene asked knowingly. "Yeah." "So?" "Starlene he's married." "But you didn't know he was married when you started seeing him." "What difference does that make?" "You're innocent." "That's ridiculous. I know he's married now and his wife is here not on his island in a coma." "But she wasn't even in this country when you started a romance with him." "But she's here now living with him." "Tiffany, Amir is probably the best catch in New York City. He's gorgeous, rich, famous and charming." "And married." "He's in love with you though." "I don't want to be his mistress. It was different when I didn't know about her. That was different." "But, you were married too then, and you're still married to Skeeter for that matter." "It's only a matter of paper." "How do you know that Amir's marriage isn't the same way?" "Because she's living with him. Skeeter and I have been separated for years." "But Amir wants to see you. He said he has to see you just this once to talk to you, right?" Starlene said repeating her sister's words. "Yeah." "Then maybe he's going to divorce her." "Why wouldn't he just tell me that on the phone?" "Tiffany, just see him!" "Where? Where could I see him without the newspapers or someone finding out? I don't want to lose my job. I don't want this all over the newspapers or TV. I don't want to hurt his wife... She seems nice," Tiffany said remembering the mild mannered beautiful woman she had met only a few nights ago at the party for her boss Clark. "Then sneak. See him this one time and see how you feel." "How?" "Well, I do have an idea..." Starlene said smiling. "Doesn't Amir still have his yacht?" "Yeah." "Didn't you guys spend a weekend on the yacht once?" "Yeah, but I don't know." "Out in the water like that who would ever know?" "It seems so sneaky." "Well, do you want to hurt his wife?" "No, but..." she said as the phone rang on the table near the window where Starlene was standing. Starlene quickly picked up the ringing telephone. "Hello", she answered. "Starlene," Amir said surprised to hear her voice after so many months. "Hi Amir! Tiffany and I were just talking. I think you should take her out on your yacht," Starlene said glancing towards Tiffany and enjoying the shock on her face. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
