Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday July 23rd 2002 Tiffany sat at her desk looking down at her appointment book. There had been a few parties scheduled in the coming week but Clark had canceled them to go to Florida and get married to Nicole. It was all so sudden. She wished that Clark had time to talk to her before he left for Florida. She wondered if she would have a job when he came back from his wedding. Business had been really slow the last few months. The ringing of the phone interrupted her thoughts. "Manhattan Party Planning," she answered as she watched a couple walk past the townhouse window at MacDougal Alley. "What happened to you last night at party?" Amir asked in his broken English. "Amir!" "I see you leave party early," he said referring to Clark's engagement party last night at the Plaza Hotel. "Yes. Clark surprised me when he said I could leave early." "I worry that something happen to you." "No. I was upset though," she said remembering the sight of Amir and his wife together. The party was the first time she had ever met Amir's wife, Malena. "I see on your face that you are upset," he said remembering the strain he saw on her face as Malena walked into the ballroom of the Plaza Hotel on his arm. "It's hard for me Amir. I mean to see your wife on your arm. She seems nice too, which makes it very difficult for me." "Malena very nice woman." "She knows all about us too, doesn't she?" she asked referring to their long intimate relationship before Malena came out of her coma and moved back to New York to be with her husband. "She know that I see you before she comes out of coma. She know of newspaper reports." "She knows that we were lovers?" "She probably think this." "You mean you haven't talked about it?" "There are many things that you never know." "Like what?" "I want to see you." "I can't see you Amir. You know how I feel about this. I wouldn't have seen you the first time if I had known you were married." "I think that Malena never wake up when we see each other," he said remembering how he had fallen in love with Tiffany the minute he saw her. "But I didn't know about Malena then. I know now and she's home with you. You're her husband, not mine," she said as her voice cracked in pain. "I must see you. I have to talk to you." "I'm surprised you would want to. I mean what if she finds out? You know the media, they would love to catch us together." "No one know that I see you." "Oh, you mean sneak around and see me?" she said unable to hide the jealousy in her voice. "Only one time. I never ask to see you again, just this time." "Why? Why would you want to risk your marriage and the newspapers finding out?" "I have to talk to you. Too much to tell you on telephone," he said watching his secretary walk towards his office. "Where? Where would you want to see me? If you came to my apartment everyone would know." "Clark leaves for Florida today, no?" he asked knowing her boss had left to go to Florida for his wedding. "You mean here in the office?" she said glancing around the empty townhouse and feeling warm all over at the thought of his arms around her once again. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
