Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday July 22nd 2002 "Skeeter you have to leave right now!" Nicole said as the buzzer to her apartment door rang repeatedly. "I don't want you to marry Clark. You don't love him Nicole. You love me," Skeeter said pulling her towards the bed. "Look, we've been through all of this Skeeter. Daddy's arranged everything. Matter of fact, if my Father finds out we've been here like this, he'll kill you," Nicole said her heart racing as she glanced out the window and saw Clark standing by the limo at the curb. "How could you make love to me like this then go marry Clark?" Skeeter asked hitting the bed with his fist as he recalled the passion they had shared for the last few hours. "Because I'm attracted to you Skeeter." "Are you attracted to him?" "Well, it's different." "Do the two of you even do it?" "Yes, Skeeter." "Are you sure that he's not gay?" "No. He's not gay." "Nicole I know you don't love him. I can tell by the look in your eyes when you talk about him. Why are you marrying him?" "Because my Father wants me too," she said as the buzzer sounded at the front door again. "Skeeter get out of here, now!" she said walking towards the bedroom door. "That's what you really want? You want to marry him?" "Yes. I'm going to marry him." "What do you think Clark would do if he knew we had been together in your bed all morning?" Skeeter said glancing down at the sidewalk as Clark stood watching the doorman at Nicole's door. "He would still marry me probably. He wants us to get married." "Why?" "Clark wants my Daddy's business." "So he is in it for the money, is that it?" Skeeter asked thinking about the fact it could have been him that was getting into Nicole's family's money. "No, he loves me too. Now go Skeeter, I'm going to ring in the driver now," she said walking towards the living room. "I wanted to marry you Nicki," he said following her into the living room. "Maybe if things don't work out with me and Clark then we'll get married next," Nicole said forcing a smile. "I guess that's going to have to be good enough for now," he said walking towards the living room door. "Where are you going to go Skeeter?" she asked as he opened her door. "Downstairs and talk to your new husband," he said turning to glance at her. "Seriously?" "Upstairs and wait until you guys leave, then I'll go out," he said. "Unless I can't take it and decide to fight him for you." "Don't breath until we're out of the building," she said hitting the buzzer. Skeeter walked up one flight of stairs and looked down as he watched the driver walking up the stairs as Clark followed him. Skeeter stepped back and listened to their footsteps. "Nicole, what took you so long to answer the door? I was beginning to think you'd changed your mind," Clark said breathlessly as he climbed the stairs glancing up towards her apartment.
