Nicole zipped her jeans and turned to look back towards the bed in her apartment on Bleecker Street.
"You better hurry up.  He'll be here soon," she said referring to her fiancée Clark. She watched as Skeeter leaned back on her pillow and took a sip of his beer before placing the can on the bedside table.
"You sure you want to do this Nicki?" Skeeter asked as he watched her pull a white cotton sweater over her freshly showered young body.
"Yeah."
"You'll miss this Baby," he said sitting up on the side of the bed and reaching for his jeans.
"I'll still see you Skeeter," Nicole said smiling as she opened her chest of drawers and put her bathing suit into her suitcase on the chair nearby.
"You'll be in Florida with Clark… married."
"I won't stay in Florida. I hate that place. Daddy's there and all of his buddies," Nicole said taking a couple of "I Love New York" T-shirts from the drawer and placing them in the suitcase.
"Yeah but you'll be an old married woman Nicki."
"Look I've never been married and you have.  It's my turn."
"I told you Tiffany and I are only married on paper.  I could get a quick divorce and we could get married."
"Why do you want to marry me Skeeter?"
"Look what we just did Baby," he said zipping his pants and then walking towards her.  He stood behind her and slid his hand under her sweater as she sorted through the clothes she was packing.
"You do that to all the girls," she said smiling as he pulled her closer to him and kissed the back of her neck.
"I don't.  You're the only one for me Baby.  You and me would be a great team.  Your Daddy would like me Nicole."
"He's convinced Clark's the right guy."
"Why. Why Clark and not me?" he asked trying to unzip her jeans as she pulled away and turned to face him.
"We've been through all of this Skeeter.  Daddy doesn't like it that you've been seeing me and you're still married."
"I just don't get it.  Doesn't he understand I'd get the divorce really quick if you wait."
"He doesn't want me to wait."
"Why?"
"Cause he thinks he can control Clark."
"He's probably right about that," Skeeter admitted as he watched her close the suitcase.
"So what are you going to do while I'm gone?  Are you going to go back to Jan?" she asked referring to his other older wealthy lover.
"Maybe.  I mean you don't leave me much choice."
"I told you I'd be back."
"A man can't wait long you know."
"What about Tiffany, she doesn't have anybody now that Amir's wife has come back to him."
"Well, maybe I should go back to her since you'll be married," he said as he watched her turn to stare at him.
"Will you?"
"No. I want you Nicki.  You're the one for me," he said as the phone beside the bed rang.
"Hello," she answered.
"Nicole, we'll have to leave for the airport now. There's been an accident on the bridge and traffic is tied up.  I'll be there in a minute.  Just think honey, we're off to get married," Clark said as his driver put the last suitcase in the back of the limo parked only a few blocks away from her apartment.
