42nd Street Opened May 2nd 2001

A new production of the 1980 musical comedy (1981 TONY Best Musical). If you can only see one Broadway show in the next few years, see this one!  It's beautiful, flawless, spectacular and provides the razzle dazzle you hope for and much more!  This show sets a new standard for Broadway productions and talent.  Kate Levering will sing and dance her way into your heart and leave you with unforgettable memories. Taking place in 1933, it contains a superb show chorus and remarkable tap dancing. Based on a novel by Branford Ropes.  Lyrics, Al Dubin; Music, Harry Warren; Book: Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble; Director: Mark Bramble; Choreographer: Randy Skinner; Dance: Gower Champion; Starring Michael Cumpsty, Christine Ebersole, Kate Levering, Mary Testa, David Elder and Jonathan Freeman. "42nd Street" originally opened at the Winter Garden on August 25th, 1980; it ran over 8 years. Gower Champion had choreographed and directed the cast including Jerry Orbach, Wanda Richert, Lee Roy Reams and Tammy Grimes at that time.
Won 2001 TONY Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Christine Ebersole won the 2001 TONY Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.

Aida Opened March 23rd 2000
Palace Theater, 1554 Broadway at 47th Street 212-307-4747. $25-$95. Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; Music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice. Directed by Robert Falls; Sets & Costumes: Bob Crowley; Choreographer: Wayne Cilento; Maya Days as Aida, Adam Pascal as Radames, Idina Menzel as Amneris.  Story of a love triangle between Aida, an enslaved Nubian Princess, and Amneris, an Egyptian Princess who both love the same soldier, Radames. Book by Linda Woolverton and Robert Falls & David Henry Hwang. In January 2002, Simone will return as "Aida" and Felicia Finley will assume the role as "Amneris".

Beauty and the Beast
Opened April 18th 1994
Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 205 West 46th St., Between Broadway and 8th Ave. 212-307-4747.  $20-$80; Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 1 and 6:30 PM. 2 Hours 30 Minutes; A children's must see. Music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Tim Rice and songs of the late Howard Ashman, choreographed by Matt West, directed by Robert Jess Roth.  The Beast is Steve Blanchard and The Beauty is Andrea McArdle.

The Boys From Syracuse Previews July 24th 2002 Opens August 18th
American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue. 212-719-1300. $25-$90; Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 2 PM; A Rogers and Hart revival. Book by George Abbott, updated by Nicky Silver. "The Boys From Syracuse" is based on Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors", a romantic 1938 story about 2 sets of twins. Directed by Scott Ellis. Music by Richard Rodgers. Lyrics by Lorenz Hart. Rob Ashford is the choreographer. Starring Walter Charles, Erin Dilly, Toni DiBuono, Jonathan Dokuchitz, George Hall, Jackee Harry, Tom Hewitt, Fred Inkley, Lauren Mitchell, Lee Wilkof, and Chip Zien. "The Boys From Syracuse" originally opened at the Alvin (Neil Simon) Theatre on November 23rd 1938 under George Abbott. That cast included Eddie Albert and Burl Ives, among others.

Cabaret Opened March 19th 1998
Studio 54, 524 W. 54th St. between Broadway and 8th Ave. 212-239-6200 $25-$95. Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat 8:00 PM; Sat 2 PM & 8 PM & Sun 2 PM & 7 PM; Closed Wednesdays; 2 hrs. 30 min. One intermission. Molly Ringwald stars as Sally Bowles, the singer; Mathew Greer as Clifford Bradshaw; Peter Benson as Ernst Ludwig; Raul Esparza as Emcee; Larry Keith as Herr Schultz; Barbara Andres as Fraulein Schneider and Candy Buckley as Fraulein Kost.  '30s Berlin decadence. This musical classic is one of the longest running revivals in Broadway history.

Chicago Opened November 14th 1996
Shubert Theatre, 225 W. 44th St. Between Broadway & 8th Ave. 239-6200. $20-$90. Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed & Sat 2 PM; Sun 2 PM. 2 hrs 15  min. One intermission. Six 1997 Tony Awards includes Best Revival of a Musical. A Fred Ebb, John Kander, Bob Fosse Production; A chorus girl murders her lover.

Contact Opened March 30th 2000 through September 1st 2002
Lincoln Center Vivian Beaumont Theatre, Broadway at 64th St. 212-239-6200 $55-$85. Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; 2 Hours; One Intermission; By John Weidman. Dance play of 3 sexual fantasies.  Choreographed and Directed by Susan Stroman; First, "Swinging", A romance in 18th Century France involving a servant, an Aristocrat and a girl on a swing - "Did You Move", An unhappy Queens woman in the 1950's who dances to Puccini and Tchaikovsky for pleasure. - Finally, "Contact", an executive falls for a girl at a dance club.
Winner of 4 2000 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
