Chef's Daily Recipe for 07/11/2002 : Summer Pasta Salad

5 quarts Water
2 teaspoons Salt
2 1/4 cups rigatoni
2 1/4 cups frozen peas
1 red pepper
7 oz. Cooked ham
2 1/4 cups sweet corn
1 bunch mixed herbs such as parsley, chives, basil and thyme
4 teaspoons Vinegar
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika powder and white pepper
Pinch of garlic powder
5 tablespoons Oil
1 bunch of radishes
2 hard boiled eggs
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until tender, yet firm to the bite. Drain and leave to cool. Wash, seed and dice the pepper. Drain the sweet corn. Chop the herbs. Reserve 1 tbs. of mixed herbs. Mix together the herbs, vinegar, salt, pepper, red pepper, garlic powder and oil. Slice the radishes. Peel the eggs and cut into eighths. In a bowl mix together the pasta, peas, diced red pepper, ham, sweet corn and half of the radishes. Add the marinade. Place the eggs and radish slices on top. Sprinkle with the remaining herbs.
