Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday July 2nd 2002 "I meet this Stanley now," Megollo said in his thick Italian accent. He grabbed Starlene's arm as she started to slide across the seat to get out of his long white limo. "No. Megollo. I'm engaged to Stanley. I don't want him to see you here," Starlene said touching the corners of her mouth hoping her heavy lip gloss wasn't smeared too much. Tiffany glanced behind the limo nervously. "Look, I've got to run back inside. Stanley called from his cell phone. He was on Fifth Avenue. I know he'll be here any minute. I just wanted to warn you," she said as she turned and walked away from the car. "You disrespect me, you no introduce me to your sister," Megollo said. He admired Tiffany's figure in the tight jeans as he watched her rush back towards the front door of the apartment building where she lived with her sister Starlene. "Megollo, another time," Starlene said searching for her purse on the leather seat. "I thought this kiss mean something…," he said glancing at Starlene's voluptuous bosom in the low cut top. "I like you. But I just met you Megollo." "But our kiss. This mean more, no? Why you run from car minute this man comes to your house?" he asked frowning. "I'm sorry. We'll have to talk another time." "I no like to be treated this way," he said his dark eyes narrowing. "I can't let Stanley catch us here in the car like this." "You use me. Is that what this is?" "No. Can we talk another time?" "I go back to Florida tomorrow. This is only time I have for talk." "I'll call you later, how's that?" she said trying to hide her relief that he would be leaving for Florida tomorrow. "No. I never have womans use me this way. Never." "Please Megollo. I don't mean to use you. I've been with Stanley for a long time now. I told you that I was engaged to him. I shouldn't have allowed things to go so far with us. It wasn't right," Starlene said turning to glance out of the tinted windows to see if Stanley's limo was in sight. "This Stanley he never marry you. He use you. He sees Nicole many times. She tells me this. But you choose him… go! Go on. Go to this man. He never marry you. Go," he said leaning over Starlene. He pushed the door to the limo open allowing it to hit the sidewalk making a loud scraping noise. "I'm sorry," Starlene said stepping out of the back of the long white car. "You make big mistake. Big mistake," Megollo said as he watched her close the door. Starlene glanced down the street and saw Stanley's limo turning onto MacDougal Street and heading towards her apartment building. She glanced back towards the tinted window of Megollo's limo. She heard the sound of the sunroof closing on the limo. She quickly walked towards the front door. The doorman opened the front door. She nodded as she rushed past him towards the elevator, her stiletto heels echoing on the marble floor. She pushed the button for the elevator and glanced back towards the front door. She thought she saw Stanley's limo pulling up at the curb. The elevator door opened and she quickly stepped inside repeatedly pushing the "door close" button hoping that Stanley wouldn't see her. All she could do now was pray that Megollo left before Stanley's car arrived. The elevator slowly made its way to her floor and the door opened. She quickly put the key in the door and opened it slamming it shut behind her. "Tiffany, I'm here," Starlene said breathlessly, walking towards the living room. She saw her sister standing at the living room window looking down at the sidewalk below. "So is Stanley and so is Megollo," Tiffany said never turning to look at Starlene. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
