Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday July 1st 2002
"Stanley why don't you wait and talk to Starlene tomorrow.  Maybe you should give this more thought," Tiffany said as she glanced out of her apartment window overlooking Washington Square Park.  The sunroof of the long white limo parked at the curb was open.  She could see her sister Starlene and Megollo in the back seat.  Megollo had slipped the strap of Starlene's low cut top off her shoulder.  She could tell that Starlene was enjoying the attention of the young handsome Italian she had recently met. It looked as if Starlene had completely forgotten that Megollo worked for Nicole's Father, the mob boss from Florida.
"You might be right in some respects. Maybe I should think about setting the date for a wedding.  But on the other hand, I have to know if there is any truth to the rumors about Starlene and this Italian guy", Stanley said holding his cell phone as he glanced out the window of his limo.  He watched as the driver made his way through the evening traffic near the Empire State Building heading towards the arches of Washington Square Park.
"I'll have Starlene call you when she comes in Stanley," Tiffany said wondering how close her sister's older lover was to their apartment.
"No.  No. I'm almost at your place now.  I want to see her. I'll just come up stairs and wait since you're home."
"I'm really not dressed Stanley.  I was planning on having an early evening," Tiffany said glancing down at her bare feet and old cotton pajamas.
"Just throw on something.  You don't have to dress for me," he said becoming aroused as he imagined that she might be in a sheer negligee when he arrived.
"I'll need some time to get ready. How close are you?" she said as she walked towards her bedroom to get dressed.
"I'll be there in three minutes."
"I need more time to get dressed," Tiffany said hoping she would have time to run downstairs and tell Starlene that her lover was on his way to their house.
"Don't worry about me, I'll wait in the living room until you're dressed. I'll see you soon," he said hanging up the phone.
Tiffany turned off the cell phone and threw it on her bed.  She quickly took off her pajamas and grabbed her jeans from the chair beside her bed.  She pulled on a T-shirt and slipped into her flip-flops.  She ran back into the living room picking up her apartment keys from the table beside the front door.  She opened the front door and hit the button for the elevator.  If she was fast enough she might be able to warn Starlene before Stanley arrived.  She glanced up at the elevator light as she watched it make it's way towards her floor. The doors opened and she walked into the empty elevator.  The elevator door opened in the lobby.  She hit her arm on the door as she raced towards the front door of the building.  The doorman heard the clapping of her flip flops on the marble floor and glanced up smiling as he rushed to open the door for her.  She nodded and walked out onto the sidewalk in the warm evening air.  She quickly walked up to the window of the long white limo and tapped on it with her hand.
"Starlene, open the door.  Quick!" Tiffany said knocking on the window of the car again as she glanced back and forth up the street to see if Stanley's limo was anywhere in sight.
"Tiffany," Starlene said as the window of the limo lowered and her young sister struggled with the strap on her top as she rushed to cover her voluptuous bosom.  "What's the matter?" Starlene said frowning as she noticed the panic on her older sister's face.
"Stanley called and he's on his way over here," Tiffany said.
"I meet this Stanley now," Megollo said running his hands through his thick black hair.
"No.  No, you can't do that," Starlene said tucking her blouse into her skirt.
