Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday June 14th 2002 Starlene walked past the palm trees at the Plaza towards the lobby. She turned to the left and made her way to the bar area. She glanced around the room wondering if Nicole's Father had finished his business meeting and had already gone back to his room. She squinted in the darkness trying to pick Nicole out in the crowded bar room. "May I help you Miss?" the waiter asked Starlene, suspiciously eyeing the low cut dress she was wearing that revealed her voluptuous bosom. "I was trying to find some people. They had dinner in the Palm Court and they supposedly came in here for after dinner drinks," she said. She thought about the telephone message she secretly took from her lover Stanley's desk earlier tonight. Nicole had called and Stanley's housekeeper took the message telling Stanley that said she was meeting her Father at the Plaza with his business associates. "What is the name of the party you are searching for Miss?" "Masconi", Starlene said in her heavy southern accent. "Mr. Mascioni?" the waiter said properly pronouncing the name. "Yes. That's what I said," Starlene said irritated with his correction. "The party was here earlier. Would you like for me to see if they are still here?" "Well yes. Of course," Starlene said suddenly nervous at the thought of the confrontation. She watched as the young waiter walked towards the back of the dark bar out of her sight. She wondered if she should just turn and leave. Maybe meeting a reported crime boss during a meeting was a bad idea just as her sister Tiffany had said. "Starlene!" Starlene turned when she heard her name called out to see Nicole walking from the ladies room towards the bar. "Nicole," Starlene said turning to face the woman she knew had been with her lover Stanley in a room at this hotel earlier. "What are you doing here?" "I came here to talk to your Father." "What?" "You heard me Nicole. I came here to see your Father." "He's already gone to his room." "Then why are you going back into the bar?" "I'm with one of his business associates." "Oh." "How the hell did you know that my Father was here?" "I have ways of knowing," Starlene said remembering how her heart raced when she found the message on Stanley's desk from Nicole telling him she was meeting her father at the Plaza this evening. "Well, why would you want to see my Father?" "To tell him about you and the way you are chasing my Stanley." "Starlene are you completely crazy?" Nicole said laughing slightly. "No. But you're man crazy and I'm going to tell him." "Starlene I'm marrying Clark. My Father wouldn't believe you." "I think he would." "If he did believe you Starlene have you ever thought about what he might do to Stanley?" "What are you saying?" Starlene asked wondering if the reports about her Father's ruthlessness were true. "I'm saying if you want Stanley you better hope my Father never thinks that Stanley laid a hand on me." "Well, what would your Father think of you?" "He'd think Stanley was an old man chasing his young daughter." "Nicole, you have problem?" a handsome dark haired man asked in a heavy Italian accent as he walked up behind the two women. His eyes quickly went from Nicole's face to Starlene's voluptuous bosom and charming smile. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
