Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday June 13th 2002
"Starlene is that you?"  Tiffany called out from the living room of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park when she heard the front door slam.
"Yeah it's me," Starlene said walking into the living room her high heels echoing on the hardwood floor.
"How did it go with you and Stanley tonight?" Tiffany asked wondering what her sister was doing home so early.
"It went great," Starlene said taking a seat in the chair and kicking off her shoes.
"Really. Did you get everything settled about Nicole?" she asked referring to Starlene overhearing a phone call between Stanley and Nicole after they were caught lunching at the Plaza.
"We talked about it."
"Well, tell me. You said you were going to give him an ultimatum. Did you?"
"Yeah," she said opening her purse and taking out a piece of paper.
"Well, tell me what did he say?"
"He said to give him a few days and he'd think about it."
"Really!  He's never said that before. I guess you're happy with that."
"No, not really.  I think he's lying to me. I think that he and Nicole did a lot more than have lunch at the Plaza," Starlene said.
"Well, why would you want to marry him then Starlene?"
"Because I've never been married before Tiffany."
"That's not a good reason to marry him especially if you think he's cheating on you."
"He's rich too."
"You'd marry him for money then?"
"I love him."
"Well that's the right reason, but if he's cheating."
"Tiffany you loved Skeeter you married him and he cheated."
Tiffany shrugged her shoulders.
"So…if I marry Stanley and he cheats at least he's got money."
"That kind of marriage wouldn't work out Starlene. You'd never be happy with him if you know he's cheating," Tiffany said knowingly.
"Maybe I'll stop his cheating."
"How are you going to do that?"
"I've figured it out," Starlene said looking at the paper in her hands.
"What?  How are you going to stop him?"
"You'll see," Starlene said taking her cell phone from her purse and dialing a number from the message she was holding.
"What are you doing Starlene?  You aren't calling Nicole are you?"
"Shhh!  Mr. Mascioni please," Starlene said.
"Starlene what are you doing?" Tiffany asked realizing that was Nicole's Father's name.
"Calling Nicole's father. He's in town for meetings."
"Starlene, her father is a crime boss!"
"Shhh," she said holding her finger over her heavily glossed lips.  "Has Mr. Mascioni checked in yet?"  "No message. Thanks," Starlene said closing her cell phone.
"Starlene have you lost your mind?"
"No. I'm going to stop all of this right now," she said putting her high heels back on and taking her lip-gloss from her purse.
"What are you talking about? Why did you call her Father?"
"Stanley's housekeeper took messages while we were having dinner tonight. I took them from his desk while he was in the living room. This one is from Nicole.  'It says to tell Stanley that she was meeting her Father at the Plaza for dinner tonight.'  He's there, so I'm going by there and meet him."
"You can't do that Starlene."
"All's fair in love and war. This is both.  Nicole hasn't seen anything yet." she said.  She quickly applied more lip-gloss and put it in her purse.  She adjusted her bra strap to further push up her ample bosom in the low cut dress she was wearing before walking towards the front door to leave. "Wish me luck.  Tonight I'll settle the score," she said smiling as she brushed  her long blonde hair from her eyes.
