Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday May 30th 2002 "Okay, okay we'll have lunch", Stanley said as Nicole pushed him aside playfully avoiding his continued advances. He watched her get out of the bed in their room at the Plaza Hotel and walk towards the shower. "Good. I've never had lunch here. Matter of fact this was my first time in a room here," she said picking her dress up off the chair beside the bed. "Well, I certainly hope so," Stanley said laughing as he watched his former young secretary walk towards the shower. The cell phone in her purse rang and she stopped and turned walking back towards her purse that was in the chair beside the bed. "Just let it ring," Stanley said looking for his shirt. "No. It might be Clark," she said before opening the tiny cell phone and answering "Hello." "Hay Baby. Did you have lunch with the old man?" Skeeter asked. "I'm kinda tied up right now," Nicole said glancing towards Stanley as she watched him brushing his hands through his graying hair. "You in the room with Jan's old man?" Skeeter asked. "Why did you call me now?" "I'm jealous Nicki." "We had an agreement remember?" "I can't take it Nicki. I know I told you it was okay for you to be with other guys since Tiffany and I are still married, but this hurts Baby." "Come on. You don't mean this. Are you at your place on Bleecker or at your office?" she asked. "I'm at home. I just can't work thinking about you getting it on with that old man. It's hard enough that you are engaged to Clark, but to think of you at the Plaza with Jan's Father, it's just too much Nicole." "We agreed didn't we?" she asked noticing that Stanley was listening to her conversation. "I can't do this Nicole." "I can't talk now." "I think I'll come over there and have a talk with that guy. I mean he's engaged to my sister-in-law Starlene too. An old man like that…" Skeeter said starting to pace the floor of his apartment with the phone in his hand. "You're working yourself up. Now stop it," she said trying to whisper into the phone as Stanley sat on the side of the bed tying his wing tip shoes. "I'll call you after lunch." "I'll pick you up and take you somewhere nice for lunch Nicole. Leave that old man," Skeeter said. "No. Now I have to go. I'll call you later this afternoon. Don't call me at the office either." "Marry me Nicole." "You can't marry me, you're already married. Look I'll call you this afternoon." "No. I've got to see you Nicole." "Well, what do you want me to do? Look I'm really busy now. I tell you what…I'll stop by your apartment after lunch. Okay?" "Promise?" "Yes. I promise. Do you promise not to come to the Plaza?" "Alright," he said hanging up the phone. "Who the hell was that Nicole?" Stanley asked feeling the now familiar pains in his chest return. "No one important. Let's go downstairs and have the lunch you promised me." "We aren't going to have any surprises during lunch are we?" Stanley asked feeling a pain shooting up his arm. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
