Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday May 28th 2002 "Hi Jan," Clark said surprised by her unexpected visit to his office. "Hi. I see Nicole's not in," she asked taking a seat in the chair in front of his desk at his townhouse in Greenwich Village. "Yeah. She went to Century 21 shopping," Clark said wondering if his young lover had found lingerie for their upcoming wedding. "Oh. I see," Jan said remembering the conversation she heard at her Father's house. She had secretly listened to her Father Stanley as he talked with Nicole on the phone. Stanley was meeting his former lover and secretary Nicole today at eleven thirty in a room of the Plaza Hotel. "I hope she'll come home with something new to model for me," Clark said feeling his face redden a little as he thought of his hot natured young lover. "Where is Tiffany today? She wasn't downstairs when I came in." "She just ran out to the printers for me. You know Tiffany's a good secretary. I hope the two of you will become friends one day," Clark said. "I don't know about that." "Well she's been working here a long time. She's been through a lot with me. I kinda' feel sorry for her now that Amir's wife has come back to him," he said referring to Tiffany's wealthy lover. "I know Amir and Tiffany never thought that Malena would come out of the coma." "No. I hope they can be happy now. I guess now that I'm getting married I want to see everyone else as happy as I am." "That's nice Clark. It took you a long time to find someone." "Yeah it really did. But I think things will be good for me now. My family is happy that I'm getting married. My parents are talking about buying Nicole and me a waterfront house in Connecticut as a wedding gift." "Wow," Jan said never realizing that Clark's family was so well-to-do. "Well, it's been a lot of years and I never brought a woman home. This was big news. I won't have to work as hard for a living anymore now. My Father's very pleased with the news." "That's fantastic," Jan said envious since her Father had recently cut her monthly checks. "Yeah. Now I want all of my friends to be happy too. It looks as if Amir and Malena will be happy. Maybe Tiffany and Skeeter will even get back together now," he said smiling. "Skeeter, did she say they're seeing each other again?" "Oh no. Nothing like that. I was just hoping maybe. I guess we need to find someone for you too." "I'm much too busy with my career for such nonsense," Jan said wondering if Tiffany had been seeing Skeeter lately. She knew she hadn't been with Skeeter in weeks now and he hadn't been calling her as often either. "When the right man comes along. You'll change your mind." "Well, I hope my Father will be as generous as your Father," she said wondering how much money Clarks' Father was giving him. "Wow. I can't believe it. I didn't even mention your Father and Starlene! They'll be getting married too. That's just amazing. Everyone's in love and getting married. Aren't they?" "Oh yeah. Everyone except me." "And Tiffany. Things change though Jan. You never know," he said hopefully. "Yes they do don't they? What are you doing for lunch while Nicole's out shopping?" "I don't have any plans," he said thinking about Nicole lovingly. "I'll treat you to lunch at the Plaza," Jan said. "The Plaza?" "You deserve it Clark," she said smiling. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
