Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday May 14th 2002 Tiffany watched Clark walk out the front door of his townhouse where they work. She watched as he closed the door behind him. "Well, we're alone," Nicole said walking towards Tiffany's desk dressed only in a sheer white robe tied loosely at the waist. "Yeah. I guess you're excited about your party and marrying Clark," Tiffany said looking down at her appointment book to avoid Nicole's eyes. "Somewhat." "I would think you'd be really excited just getting engaged." "I suppose. I guess I need some coffee. Clark and I were up most of the night. He's got to get a better mattress. I can tell he's been a bachelor for years," she said walking towards the kitchen. "Yeah. I'm shocked that he's getting married." "Me too," Nicole said walking into the kitchen as the swinging doors closed behind her. Tiffany stared blankly down at her desk hoping she would be able to handle a day alone in the office with Nicole while Clark went to Connecticut. The front door of the townhouse opened and she glanced up. "Morning Tiffany," her sister's lover Stanley said walking into the living room. "Hi," Tiffany said surprised to see Clark's wealthy client stop by unexpectedly. "Is Clark upstairs?" Stanley said putting his briefcase down beside the sofa. "No. He just left." "I thought he was going to be here this morning," Stanley said. "He was but something came up," Tiffany said trying not to allow her anger to show. Clark only recently promoted Nicole to sales before becoming romantically involved with her. Now Clark was doing Nicole's job for her while she slept late in his bed. "Well, look who's here!" Nicole said as she walked through the swinging door from the kitchen carrying her coffee cup. "Hi Nicole. Congratulations. Jan told me," Stanley said his voice trailing off as he watched her walk into the sunlight in the transparent white robe. "It's something else isn't it? Me getting married. It's hard to get used to," Nicole said smiling as she walked towards the center of the room and stood in the sunshine facing Stanley. "Yeah. It's something alright," Stanley said aroused by the familiar sight of her young body. "Did you come by to see Clark?" "Yeah, but Tiffany told me he's not here." "He went on my sales call for me. I was a little late getting out of bed this morning." "Umm," Stanley said as his eyes traveled up and down the sheer robe. "You were supposed to drop off some papers, right?" she said knowingly as she saw the familiar look in his eyes. "Yeah." "Come on upstairs and I'll handle that for you," she said starting to walk towards the stairs. "I don't…," he said hesitating as his eyes focused on her hips in the robe. "It's okay. Clark's gone for hours now." "But, I don't know," Stanley said glancing back towards Tiffany. "Tiffany's cool. Aren't you?" Nicole said stopping to glance back towards Tiffany. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
