Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday May 13th 2002
"Mornin' Clark," Tiffany said closing the front door of his townhouse where they worked.  She walked through the living room towards her desk.
"Mornin'," he said smiling as he walked from the kitchen with his coffee.
"It's official," he said taking a seat in the chair beside her desk.
"What?"
"Nicole and I are getting married."
"Oh.  That's great," she lied watching his face.
"I'm planning a party for her."
"Great," Tiffany said trying to appear happy for him.
"I want her to feel accepted."
"Of course."
"I want you to come," he said taking a sip of his coffee.
"Sure."
"I hope you can handle the guest list."
"Well, of course Clark.  I've worked here for years now," she said shrugging her shoulders thinking that he was referring to her job duties at his party planning business. 
"I mean.  I've invited Amir," he said referring to her lover.  Amir's wife had recently come out of a long coma and moved back to NYC.
"Oh," she said avoiding his eyes.
"Tiffany I know this is hard for you.  But Amir's a married man."
"I know."
"He's also one of the most important clients I have."
"I know Clark."
"I warned you when you first came to work for me not to get involved with any of my clients."
"I know."
"So you really can't be upset when I tell you that Amir is bringing his wife to the party."
"Did he say that?" she asked feeling hot tears coming to her eyes.
"I asked him if he would be bringing her."
"And he said yes?"
"He said he would ask her to come."
"Oh, I see," she said moving papers around on her desk hoping she could hold back the tears until he was out of her presence.
"You have to be at the party Tiffany and you have to be able to handle this because it's your job."
"I know that."
"I did warn you about something like this happening."
"Yes you did.  I'll handle it."
"Good.  Stanley will be coming too.  I want you to warn your sister Starlene that she has to be nice to Nicole."
"I'll tell her."
"Morning," Nicole said walking down the stairs wearing only a sheer white robe tied loosely at the waist.
"Congratulations," Tiffany said smiling slightly before glancing down at the appointment book.  She could feel her face redden with embarrassment when she noticed that Nicole's robe was totally transparent as she stood in the morning sun.
"Oh thanks. Clark and I are so excited," she said walking to Clark's side and taking his arm.
"Oh my God.  Nicole did you know that you have a sales appointment in ten minutes," Tiffany said checking the time in the book once again to be sure it was right before looking up.
"Clark's going for me," she said reaching over to kiss him on the cheek as the front of her robe opened slightly partially exposing her young body.
"Tiffany's going to work on your party today honey," he said kissing her on the cheek before picking up his briefcase from the floor.  "Just tell Tiffany and she'll arrange whatever you want.  I'll make dinner reservations for us tonight at Tavern on the Green," Clark said as he walked towards the door.
