Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday May 8th 2002 "Would you like another bottle of champagne?" the waiter asked. "Yes. Bring us another bottle. The most expensive in the house," Clark said. "Wow. Aren't you something," Nicole said taking the last sip of champagne from her glass. The waiter smiled walking towards the bar in front of Arqua Restaurant in Tribeca. "You're something special Nicole" he said remembering their recent first passionate evenings together. "Thanks," she said placing her glass on the table. "Did Tiffany treat you okay today?" he asked. "She didn't say anything if that's what you mean." "Good. I hoped she wouldn't." "I could feel her eyes on me all day though." "Well, anybody would have stared when you came down the stairs this morning in that sheer robe," Clark said feeling flush as he remembered the sight of her as the sun shone through her white robe revealing her firm young body. "She was shocked!" Nicole said giggling as she remembered how surprised Tiffany was to find out that she had spent the night at Clark's townhouse where they worked. "Yeah. You look great in that robe Nicole. Where did you get that? I'd like to buy you a couple more of them," he said. "Oh. I don't remember," she lied thinking about the fact that Tiffany's estranged husband Skeeter had given her the lingerie. "Anyway, I'm glad you didn't have any problem with Tiffany," he said admiring her thick dark hair as she brushed it from her face. "She's jealous Clark." "Any woman would be jealous of you Nicole." "You flatter me." "You deserve the best," he said watching as the waiter poured a small amount of champagne into his glass. "This is good," Clark said nodding as the waiter filled their glasses before placing the bottle in the stand beside their table. "You really are spoiling me Clark. I get to spend the night at your house where we work. Then you bring me to this beautiful restaurant," she said picking up her champagne glass. "I've never met anyone like you before Nicole." "Thanks," she said glancing towards the front of the restaurant and noticing two nice looking businessmen walking in. "I'd like to propose a toast," Clark said handing her glass of champagne before picking up his glass. "Sure," she said crossing her legs and allowing her short skirt to rise up on her thighs when she saw one of the young men at the front of the restaurant watching her as they took their seats. "To us," Clark said touching her glass. "Us," she said smiling as she saw one of the men in the front of the restaurant tap his friend's arm motioning for him to look at her short skirt. "I'd like for our relationship to become more permanent," Clark said as his voice cracked under the strain of his emotions. "Sure," she said leaning forward in the chair as she felt her short skirt pull up higher revealing her bare legs. "I'd like for you to marry me Nicki," Clark said reaching for her free hand. "Marry you Clark?" she asked glancing quickly towards the two men and noticing that one of them grinned at her. "I see this makes you nervous. It does me too," Clark said misjudging her lack of attention for a case of nervousness. "No. I'm not nervous Clark. I've never been so sure of anything in my life," she said slowly re-crossing her legs and smiling broadly. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
