Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday May 6th 2002 Tiffany took a sip of her morning coffee placing the mug on her desk before taking a seat. The front door of the townhouse opened and Clark came in carrying a brown paper bag as he closed the door behind him. "Mornin'," he said smiling broadly. "Good morning Clark." "I brought croissants for us this morning," he said placing the bag on her desk. "Great. The coffee just finished perking." "Do me a favor and put a croissant on a silver tray with one of the flowers from that vase," he said pointing to the coffee table and the fresh flowers in the center. "Okay, aren't you getting fancy," she said laughing. "It's for Nicole" "She hasn't come in yet," Tiffany said hoping he would see how the young secretary took advantage of her job. "I know." "Oh did you give her the morning off?" "Well, not exactly," he said as his face turned red. "Sales calls, huh?" Tiffany said walking towards the coffee table to get a fresh flower. "No. She's here." "I've been here since eight o'clock and she hasn't come in Clark." "She's upstairs." "How would you know that? You've been out of the office since your breakfast meeting," she said walking towards her desk with the silver tray and flower. "She…uh…" he stammered. "What?" "She spent the night last night." "Here?" "Yeah," he said smiling as he avoided her eyes. "Oh. You mean she slept in the spare room?" Tiffany asked worried that he would tell her to mind her own business. "No. She's going to be staying here at nights more," Clark said taking the silver tray from Tiffany. "I see. You mean like move in?" "Not right away, I don't guess." "Clark. I hope you don't mind me asking…." "What?" "Are you serious about her?" "I guess you could say that." "How serious are you?" "I've never felt this way before," he said. "Are you going to marry her?" "I think so." "Clark. It's your life…but I think you should give this some serious thought. I mean…she's been," Tiffany stopped herself. "You want to tell me that she worked for Stanley and she was transferred here." "Well, it's the truth. You know that," she said referring to the fact that Nicole's ruthless Father had found out that his daughter was having an affair with a man his age. "That was just Starlene's jealousy," he said referring to Tiffany's young sister's jealousy for her lover Stanley. "It's more than that Clark," Tiffany said biting her lip as she wondered how much to tell him. "Mornin' did I miss anything?" Nicole asked walking down the stairs in her short sheer robe and bare feet. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
