"I wish Clark would call," Tiffany said as she sat beside her sister on the sofa in their living room overlooking Washington Square Park.
"Where did they go for dinner?"
"Little Italy of course," Tiffany said.
"Do you think Clark's got it bad for her?"
"I kinda think so. I mean I've never seen him with a woman before.  In all of the three years that I've worked for him, he's never had a date.  Then to walk into his office and they are in the act," Tiffany said smiling.
"Were they really actually doing it?"
"Yes. I'm telling you they were.  I was so shocked."
"Look Tiffany!" Starlene said pointing to the television and grabbing the remote to turn up the sound.
"This was the scene a few days ago as the billionaire Amir Hada was rushed to the hospital after the jilted husband Mr. Skeeter Diamond assaulted him," the report said as the video played of Amir being put into the back of a ambulance. "Sources close to this case tell us that Mr. Hada was released from the hospital today," the reporter said as they went to a clip of Amir walking out of the hospital and getting into the back of a waiting limo.
"We know that Amir has been romantically linked with Mr. Diamond's estranged wife, Tiffany Diamond in the past. Do we have any word on what Mrs. Hada thought of the incident with Mr. Diamond," the reporter in the studio asked.
"Mrs. Hada's publicist issued a statement today saying 'this unfortunate incident with Mr. Diamond has been very hurtful to both Mrs. Hada and her husband.  They are trying to get their lives together after her recent recovery from a long coma.  Mrs. Hada realizes that her long illness and the separation has been difficult for her husband.  She hopes that everyone will give them the privacy they need to get their marriage back on track.' We'll be following this story very closely in the coming days," the reporter said as the screen changed to Wall Street.
"She didn't say anything about you," Starlene said.
"Thank God."
"That would have been good publicity for you though."
"Oh Starlene…. Really.  I don't want that kind of publicity."
The phone on the coffee table rang and Starlene picked it up. "Hello", she answered.
"Starlene how are you?" Amir asked.
"Amir!  Oh my God.  Tiffany and I were just talking about you," Starlene said turning to smile at Tiffany.
"I hope this was good," he said in his broken English.
"Yes.  Yes. How are you?"
"Fine thank you."
"I'll let you speak to Tiffany, hold on," she said passing the phone to her sister.
"Amir. Hi."
"My darling."
"Oh Amir.  It's so good to hear your voice. I've worried so much about you," Tiffany said. She remembered the sight of him on TV bleeding on the sidewalk in front of her apartment building after Skeeter hit him.
"I live through this… how you say... attack."
"I'm so sorry Amir.  I didn't know he would do that."
"Of course you can not be responsible for this.  I never hold this against you my love."
"How are things with your wife Amir?" she asked biting her lips as she waited for his answer.
